“Friendly hotel with excellent breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

We stated here for 3 nights with Exodus. Not the roomiest of hotels and we did not even notice there was a jacuzzi. Breakfast was fabuluos, I recommend the omlettes, freshly made & cooked in front of you in a minute with chopsticks.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. On our first night we were given rooms on the 3rd floor… everyone on our tour had problems with their rooms. The rooms were very musty, and dark so walking into the room after a long day of sightseeing it was not best feeling; not the most relaxing place to be. The bathroom was a good size but the bathtub was poor, the shower leaked all over the floor. After we complained they moved us to the 7th floor for our 2nd night… and the rooms for all in our group where much better.
Breakfast was not great, compared to the other hotels we stayed in during our trip.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you are happy with an ok-ish level of comfort or if you are lucky enough to get a room on the 7th floor!

I was there with one of my best friends on a tour with Exodus for nearly 3 weeks and as you could imagine we covered pretty much most of Vietnam, which means we went to a lot of hotels and other sort of accommodations. I'll try to review this as best as I could remember.

This was the first hotel we stayed in and I was pretty happy with it. It was clean, spacious and had a decent view of the quite busy Hanoi streets. You could see a school as well from the balcony, which was interesting if you're curious about the culture and customs. You also get to see plenty of Bikes, which is the first thing that I noticed.

I did not use a lot of the facilities in the place however the food was very good, there is enough for everyone for breakfast in a buffet style. Plenty of room and food, everything seemed clean. The employees were all friendly and helpful.

There is PLENTY of food everywhere in Vietnam, that is one thing you wont be short of. Only problem is if you are there backpacking I doubt you'll get the original price. We had a tour guide with us who always got us everything for however they normally would cost. If you are one of those people that get home sick and want some fast food.. there is a very nice Korean burger/chicken joint down the road. It is like a mix of KFC, Burger King and Mcdonalds but with much better options and quite tasty.

Hanoi was a bit dull and cold in general and the streets were very dirty. I didn't feel unsafe at all though even walking at night alone with my friend and no tour guide. You have to keep an eye out on the road though because the pavement are normally blocked with stuff from shops so be careful.

Going back to the hotel, It is perfect for sleeping and resting.. I enjoyed my sleep with no noise and it was warm enough even though it was a bit cold outside in March.

This is a good mid range hotel to stay in. Friendly staff, nice rooms and a good convenient location. The breakfast is fantastic. Avoid having the two rooms down stairs, unless you like to be woken up from 6:00am by the kitchen staff preparing breakfast and then patrons dining on breakfast from the buffet straight outside your window. You can get a taxi from Danang for 400 000vnd. The local bus was very crowded.

The hotel recommends To To Boutique for tailoring and this is a good recommendation. Anne is delightful and cares. Do not get shoes made at Balle. The quality is poor and the promise alerations that are not delivered upon.

Room Tip: Don't have a down stairs room. Request a room with a verandah

Three night stay as part of tour. No problems encountered. Large room king bed everything worked. Central to old part of Hanoi. Could walk to everything. Hawkers outside hotel but part of the cultural experience. Breakfast had a good choice for hotel of 3 stars. Restaurant attached also good good price good. Wifi available but not advertised.

3-night stay was fine. Located very close to the market, so nighttime shopping is readily available. Room is big enough and air condition works great. TV was a bit fuzzy. Bathroom is quite dark, and even though the toilet had the strip of paper that read "sanitized," we were quite horrified to find evidence that it wasn't. Ugh. Otherwise, the room and decor were clean. Breakfast includes an omelette station and noodle station as well as the usual fruit, breads, and Asian foods. Stayed here with a tour, so I don't know about the rate. Just be sure to thoroughly check for cleanliness if you do choose to book a room here.

Three nights here was OK. Check in a tad of a hassle as not one of the receptionists spoke English (or French as we witnessed for other travellers) when we were checking in. Otherwise service was average. Rooms clean, a tad dated however. Breakfast buffet was poor selection and poor quality as well. The woman who stands out front trying to sell hats started to grab one of my friend's boob... which wasn't cool. I know that Western women have larger breasts, but that was unacceptable. It is a good location to explore Central Hanoi as well as the bustling Old Quater.
