Very entertaining although was very hot and stuffy inside. Would go again. Very popular with the locals.

“Well worth the visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Our hotel got use great first row center seats that only cost $4! Very well performed with live orchestra and singers, English translation and explanation is shown on large flat screens on the sides so there is no problem in understanding the story being portrayed. Colorful puppets and interesting musical accompaniment.

First show in the town so jet lag may have affected judgement but personally found this show excruciating.

“Very different and interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

This show runs 5 times a day, 7 times a week. So you will undoubtedly be able to get a ticket. When we went it cost 100,000 dong for the 'good' seats which are close to the front. The puppeteers are obviously well practised, but the puppets looked like they'd seen a lot of wear and tear. It's a very well orchestrated affair and lasts about an hour. Explanations of what's happening in each scene is shown on a projector screen. It's all accompanied by traditional vietnamese music.

My partner is very tall (6'4"), and so couldn't fit in the seats. But the usher kindly gave him a chair in the aisle to sit on.
