Stayed here for 4D3N with my wife during the Christmas week. We were amazed with the warm greetings and friendliness of the hotel staffs at the moment we arrived at the hotel. A welcome drink was served when we are waiting for check-in procedure at the lobby. Although the hotel is small in boutique style with only 25 rooms, but the location is simply perfect in the middle of the Hanoi old quarter, within walking distance to all shopping streets and attractions like Hoam Kiem Lake.
I must say the hotel services is really 5 star with the great team! Lana is always around to look after the needs of the guests. She would approach any hotel guests at lobby to introduce herself and start a conversation, seek feedback from guests for improvement and always cheerful. She invited us for breakfast upon our early morning arrival on our first day although we have not checked into our room. She could speak very good English, a few other hotel staffs could communicate well in English as well, so communication is not an issue. Jenny is the front desk guest officer who is very helpful too. My wife wanted to buy the ingredients for cooking Pho Gai (Vietnamese rice noodle in chicken soup) and asked for direction, Jenny volunteered to buy for us and did not want to accept our money due to negligible amount though we insisted for her to accept. Really thankful for her helpfulness!
The staffs at kitchen or dining area are very friendly and attentive as well. The food taste good and fresh, loved the freshly baked buns and croissants available daily. The kitchen staffs are able to serve omelette, pho, pan cake, vietnamese coffee and etc on ala carte basis.
Our room was a deluxe room without any window which could be opened to the exterior of the buildng. Hence, not able to see sunlight in the room. This is one set back for us, but we understand the limitation due to the size or space in the the hotel, only suite rooms have window that opens to exterior. Nevertheless, the room is clean and looks new (as it is a new hotel opened in July 2013). The bed is comfortable and bathroom is complete with kits (tooth brush, tooth paste, comb, soap) provided. We were deligted to see our bed decorated with rose petals upon entering the room after check-in. The hotel comes with free Wifi for accessible from room and lobby. Complimentary bottled drinking water and fruit platter provided in the room daily. The room has a flat screen TV, satelite TV channels (i.e. CNN, BBC, StarWorld, HBO...etc) are available for watching. There is a safe deposit box in the room as well.
The hotel also provides complimentary map at lobby front desk which contains direction to major attractions in Hanoi, list of recommended restaurants, cafes, and etc. Lana always offers to assist hotel guests to book a cab, provide tips and things to watch out. This really deserves a thumbs up !
On Christmas Eve, the hotel management team organized a celebration/party to usher Christmas. Games, singing and lucky draws are a few of the events during the celebration. Food, snacks, fruits, drinks and wines were served to all hotel guests. This was really a memorable experience for us !
We felt that we are being valued while staying in the hotel, the service is top notch at reasonable price, definitely recommended to others coming to Hanoi!
Choose a suite room which has window that opens.
