“Tribute to a Rich Diversity of Ethnic Groups”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

This place brings to life and puts you in touch with the homes, customs, clothing, arts and cultures of the many ethnic groups in VN - and the cafe has good food, is very reasonably priced, and the proceeds serve a worthy cause. Definitely worth spending time here on your Ha Noi visit.

“A big day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Could have spent hours here. 2 large indoor museums to get through and a huge walkway taking you to various 'villages'/huts set up outside. Great opportunity to see a water puppet theatre performance for about 10 mins rather than sitting through an hour at the main water puppet theatre. Beware the huge fun fair over the rd selling balloons and fairy floss if travelling with little ones, it was hard to convince them we weren't going there! Again, mostly pram friendly, a few steps to get up to main museum, outside trail was manageable with pram. We alternated staying outside some hut exhibits with baby while others ventured up and into huts.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

This is the best Museum in Vietnam. The exhibits were very comprehensive and chockfull of excellent information. The different ethnic groups were clearly displayed with an outdoor area where visitors can see and go into homes indigenous to each region/minority group. Very highly recommended.

“Very worth a visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Fantastic place to get a great rundown of all the ethnic tribes in Vietnam. How they live, their dress, their handicrafts, even the village houses in the yard at the back of the museum.
Very good.
