“Great for children”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Really interesting museum. Well set out and my children enjoyed it as well as getting a great deal out of it. Helped reinforce what we'd started to see and learn on a trip to the mountains a few days earlier.

“Vietnam Museum of Ethnology – Find Research Center and Educative Videos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

One of the best places for research and finding out educational videos is the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.

Located on the Nguen V Huen Road about 8 km from the city center in Hanoi, this museum represents the diverse cultural traditions and heritage of Vietnam in an excellent manner.

Highlighting the background of settlers and different ethnic groups in the country, the museum also displays various aspects of their history. It has an indoor part with exhibition building, research center, office, library, storage, technical lab and auditorium. Outdoor area highlights different types of houses existing in all parts of Vietnam.

The museum has over 15,000 artifacts, 42,000 photographs, 373 videotapes, 25 CD ROM and over 3,000 slide among others. All in all; the experience was very interesting.
