“Overnight stay - just a place to sleep”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

We stayed here because it was the most convenient one to stay for just one day. We were planning to take the boat in Halong Bay. The room I got was at the top floor, with supposedly a city view....which mostly consists of rooftop of houses and old buildings nearby. Breakfast was terrible. Staff were nice and friendly though...very accommodating and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were extremely helpful, prices more than reasonable, good aircon in quite spacious, clean rooms with everything you'd need. We had a small balcony to look down on the busy street downstairs. Breakfast was good, with a waiter who was there every morning happy to cook you anything you ordered. Big bed, good aircon, and right in the centre of everything. What more could you want?

We chose this hotel because some of the rooms have a balcony and we like to sit and watch the world go by we were not disappointed. We stayed in a deluxe double room 301. The bed was huge and there was a cute little enclosed balcony. The room was beautifully decorated and clean, bed very comfortable. Whilst the street outside was busy you couldnt really hear it in the room.

It is in a convenient location with lots to do on the doorstep. The staff provide a map and give you names of good local restaurants. The breakfast choice was limited but there was sufficient to eat.

The staff were extremely friendly and remembered your name to greet you when returning to the hotel.

We booked the hotel directly through email and their car was there to meet us on arrival.

All in all I would definately recommend this hotel the price is good and the service excellent.

Room Tip: Room 301 has a cute balcony

Me and my boyfriend slept in this hotel for 2 nights (deluxe room with window).
The location is very strategic because it is in the old quarter next to the lake, from here it is very easy to visit the city and next to the hotel there are very good restaurants!
The hotel staff has been extremely welcoming during our stay and also when we left the hotel (6.50 am) they prepared for us a take away breakfast with fruits, bread and jam.
Rooms are modern, clean and with free wifi!
Very positive experience!

At USD 28.00 nett for a superior room with clean comfortable queen size bed. I particularly enjoyed the nice rain shower bath in my bathroom (or you can have the choice of a room with a bath tub) after a hot day outing in the Old Quarters nearby or Hoan Kiem Lake and the Night Market along Dong Xuan street, all within walking distance from this hotel. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and speak fluent English. There are complimentary bottled water in the room and a kettle for making your cup of coffee/tea (not provided). Ala Carte breakfast is included and you have a choice of western breakfast or the Vietnamese Pho (beef noodle). Overall a value for money stay at this small hotel, that operates several other hotels under the Dragon Hotel group.

Room Tip: Because of the space constraint, the buildings in Hanoi city are generally build shoulder to shoulde...

Have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and organized with them train tickets to / from Sapa as well as Halong Bay cruise.

This hotel and specially his manager (Mr. Trung) have been really helpful for our visit to what we consider best spots in Vietnam: Sapa and Halong Bay.

Many people complain about train tickets and BH cruise booked through travel agencies, but I highly recommend this hotel for any travel arrangements you need. Really really happy with the outcome!!

We stayed here twice on this trip to Vietnam. Really friendly staff and manager (Trung), nice, well decorated, clean rooms, good enough breakfast for the money you pay. It's in a great location in old quarter, close to the lake and tourist area. Highly recommended.
