“Rather European”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

The good thing is that they have an Opera House. The exterior of the building had not something special. We could not enter. It is situated in the most expensive district of Ha Noi. The courtyard of the Opera is full of cafe and brasseries.

“Good picture op”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Snap a photo if in the area, but not worth a trip over here just for that purpose. If staying at the Sofitel Metropole, its around the corner.

“Historic Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

It was like a mini Opera House of Paris. I was so impressed how Viet people can keep this place perfectly with time. THis place still runs many musical shows and it seems to be an irreplaceable icon of Hanoi

“Nice old french colonial structure”

Nice old french colonial structure. One of the better ones remaining in Hanoi. Located in nice section for walking around.

“Impressive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Though I did not get to enter the building, the architecture is impressive. Definitely French. It's is located in the Fench Quarters. There are still opera performances there. Will be awesome to experience that
