“The best value in town for French Restaurant !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

Food is exactly what you expect in a french bistro. Product are just so good. Wine selection is huge and so cheap. Take a bottle at the boutique downstairs, add a minimal corkage and you just found the best value for money in town !

“Great Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

For a French meal in Hanoi, I highly recommend this restaurant. Would expect to pay three times the amount in any other major city. Excellent food.

“Excellent cost performance!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

This place provides one of the best cost performance in Hanoi for wine, cheese, and cold cuts lovers with some good casual French foods as well!! The first floor is a wine shop and some counter seats while the second floor is a restaurant with tables. You can choose wines on 1F, and bring it up to 2F with minor corkage. Lunch and dinner courses are especially reasonable and great. Must try in Hanoi!

“Loved it! Great ambiance, good service, perfect value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

I have been to this restaurant several times now, and each time has been a wonderful dining experience.
The food and wine are lovely, the atmosphere is cosy and very French, the service efficient and the price reasonable. What more could you want in a town like Hanoi?
Have just booked another weekend away to Hanoi next month and am looking forward to dining there again! Excellent wines from all over the world! Typical bistro, everything was impeccable and meet a great young half french and vietnamese, he spokes great english, very efficient and friendly!
The whole decor and feel of the place is luxurious without being pretentious. Between the price is very cheap : only 158.000 VND for a set lunch. One of the best restaurant in Vietnam and Asia!

“Great value and great food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

We came here for a midweek dinner set menu (245,000vnd) but decided to go a la carte as the full price items were nicely priced too.

We sat out on the terrace, and had it to ourselves. Some nice bread and butter was given for a warm up. We had the flank of beef and duck breast with honey for mains, both of which were delicious, and the cheeseboard to share for after. You can order any of the 500 wines from the shop downstairs; though with a fairly hefty corkage fee (its not more expensive than other restaurants, but the corkage just makes it expensive relative to the shop prices). We didn't want to spend much on wine and luckily they had a perfect compromise; a 50cl pitcher of wine. The kind of house wine you'd normally get one glass of, but this pitcher got us two glasses each for basically the price of one house glass (backpackers on a budget always find the best compromise!). Our waiter for the evening was great too, he chatted and joked with us.. even when there was an order mistake for our side it wasn't a problem because he was so nice.. we ended up getting our original side order plus the accidental one - more food for us.

We enjoyed the meal and service so much we returned the next day (our last day in Vietnam) for lunch. The owner (we think) recognized us and came over and poured us each a complimentary small glass of French red wine - what a great return greeting!

This time we ordered the set menu three courses (138,000vnd). Again all the dishes were great. The desert was the best chocolate mousse I've ever had.

Overall, I'd fully recommend coming for either a set menu lunch or dinner or going a la carte - any of the options are great. 138,000vnd for three courses of great French food is amazing value.

I'd definitely return here if I come back to Hanoi.
