Description: Pots ‘n Pans is about innovation. Vietnamese cuisine infused with an international flair. Our food takes the best ideas from modern Vietnamese and puts a new spin on them. The flavours are familiar but done differently. We don’t want to detract from what we believe to be the core of Vietnamese cuisine which is a big emphasis on fresh and local ingredients. However, we believe that the produce found in Vietnam should lend itself to a wider range of cooking techniques and presentation.Pots ‘n Pans is a dynamic partnership between Know One Teach One (KOTO) and its training program graduates along with its international partner; Small Giants. KOTO is a not-for-profit organisation in Vietnam that is changing the lives of street and disadvantaged youth through vocational training. Small Giants is a boutique Australian impact investment company that is dedicated to businesses that are changing the world.

“Best one experienced in Vietnam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Very very modern decoration! Service is excellent, good level of English. Food is impressive, a fusion menu, with very interesting dishes! Duck was fabulous, as well as the crab, meat, etc etc.
They also have a very large wine list, but, as expected, prices quite steep, some 700.000 dong for a decent red.
Overall, great experience.

“Chic and Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Not the most centrally located restaurant in Hanoi but we walked from the Old Quarter in 20 minutes. Immediately welcoming and stylish boutique restaurant. Staffed by KOTO alumni and headed up by Sydney's own ex head chef of Deus ex Machina. Friendly and attentive service. Set menu was great value for money and offered two to three choices per course. Fabulous food and generous servings. Stylish presentation and great mix of Asian flavours and contemporary Australian style food. If I had to pick a weakness it would only be the music which didn't really complement the funky surrounds. A bit too easy listening perhaps. A real highlight of our trip to Hanoi. Loved loved loved it.

“Really good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

After 3 weeks straight of street fare needed a proper feed and a chance to get away from the craziness of Hanoi. This was just the place well appointed, friendly staff, and really...really good food. Still Vietnamese food but elevated with amazing dishes I would never thought of the flavours they combine but soo good. Right in middle of town a few streets below the lake but before the towers with the movie theatre.

“Impressive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

Having looked up on the internet first and after reading some good reviews we decided to give it a go. The place certainly lived up to its expectations. We were greeted and served by at leasts 3 or 4 people and they were all nice and knowledgable. Complimentary bread and pumpkin soup is good, and the choice of balsamic vinegar and 3 types of salt is a nice touch. We had pan-seared scallops with bread and salmon tartare as appetizers, both are good but lacked a bit of seasoning, which is a pity. For main course we had Aussie sirloin steak and beef cooked 2 ways. The sirloin was well-cooked with plenty of garnishes, which is good. The 2-way beef was really tasty, gave you lots of texture as well as flavors. But the real star of the show for me was the dessert, which was an almond tart with sesame ice cream. Both ingredients complimented each other very well, delivered an extremely special dish and a perfect grand finale. One more thing i like about this place is the design and decoration. It has a rough touch to it but yet it feels really classy. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience and it's a rare place in Hanoi where you could enjoy modern Western cuisine without breaking the bank. I would certainly recommend the place and would be happy to return once again.

“Forgot to mention...”

No need to order sides, especially if they continue to serve the same baby veg under the pork belly. It's enough as it is! Meals are of a generous proportion.
