Reception area is very beautiful & reception ladies too busy for a first arrival greeting. Doormen did a good job; they were quick & efficient in carrying guest’s luggage & taking them to your room. Room service stuffed up an order & sent it to the wrong room so we had follow up directly with kitchen; they also need to figure out if the dialing numbers are correct because they re-directed us to the wrong number a few times so we were bouncing back & forth. Laundry service is expensive (pay per item). Housekeeping did a spot on job. I think the hotel should remove the pull down window shades in the bathroom – they’re quite annoying. Bathtub/shower basin needs to be realigned as there are times the water just overflows & drips onto the floor, so the floor is soaking wet by the time you get out of the shower. I felt breakfast service is better than dinner service. Breakfast food was yummy, had so many choices. Dinner was average, cocktails weren’t very tasty. Made a reservation for 8pm, arrived at the restaurant & was told it was too late for dinner so they’re closing up which was frustrating (they should have told me when I booked so I could make alternative arrangements for dinner). Both breakfast & diner restaurant layout is nice (not sure what’s going on with dinner restaurant chairs). Wifi from my room was fast (stayed on 10th floor). Got a leg massage at the Spa located on the 10th floor, it was good but doesn’t relax you as well as it should as you can still hear the hustle & bustle of the traffic (maybe they had a window open??). Location of hotel (Old Quarter) is excellent, cleanliness is great, wifi is fast & breakfast is yummy; this alone would entice me to stay again.
