“The Best Hotel/Staff/Everything In Vietnam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

When we arrived at Hanoi Moment Hotel 2 we were instantly welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff and this was just the beginning of a wonderful stay at the best little 'Hidden Gem' in Hanoi, if not, all of Vietnam. As we entered the room we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit platter. They even organised a birthday cake as a surprise for one of us, along with a card which was handwritten and signed by the entire staff!

The food was amazing, everything was amazing. The way Jimmy and the staff managed to take a genuine interest in each of us and what we were doing was something I've never experienced in any other hotel. While we're all sure that we'll stay in many nice hotels in the future, none of them will measure up to the experience that is, the "Hanoi Moment Hotel 2".

I ended up here because I was leaving Hanoi and needed one night in an old quarter hotel. I stayed in a junior suite which had a small balcony overlooking the roofs of the old quarter. The room was small but super functional and the bed and pillows were of excellent quality and very comfortable. There was little noise once in the room. I decided to have room service for dinner, and while the cost was higher than I would pay on the street, 120,000 for bun cha, and 100,000 for spring rolls - the food was really fresh, of good quality and well prepared. As this is Hanoi, it is hard to get a bad meal and this one was really excellent and tasty. The service was wonderful and the staff were kind and very attentive. The hotel itself is located on Hang Cot, at the edge of the old quarter, near the market, and near Hang Ma, the Christmas market street and there are many good restaurants near by.

Situated in the heart of the old town this is a delightful hotel. The delightful staff are their greatest asset - always very friendly, helpful and charming. they could not do too much for us. Any requests were promptly dealt with. The food was excellent. Besides breakfast we had several meals there which were always freshly cooked, very tasty and reasonably priced. Rooms very comfortable with complimentary fruit and tea/coffee.
Would definitely recommend it.

it is quick 4 days 3 nights trip to hanoi and halong bay - all booked through the hotel package. Initially slight glitch due to issue with halong bay cruise confirmation and hotel staff end up change the cruise provider (slightly cheaper but to my understanding less superior than the initial offer).

Hotel staff really helpful and eager to please... which make the trip really enjoyable.

For Muslim tourist, there is a mosque relatively close to the hotel (about 5 minutes walk). Plus point, halal restaurant next to the mosque and you can order halal pho (though not in the menu).

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hanoi Moment I and II for a total of 5 nights, and really liked our stay there. The rooms, the location, and the service were all great.

We stayed in four different types of rooms (we booked late so they had to move us around to accommodate us) - the junior room, the family room, the family suite, and the executive suite. All the rooms are very tastefully furnished, clean, and very comfortable. The bathrooms also look lovely, and it feels nice standing on wooden boards in the shower instead of tiles or marble in winter. Fruits are available every day, and wine is complimentary in the suites - lovely touches.

Both hotels also have great locations, near enough to Hoan Kiem lake but not close enough that they’re too noisy.

What’s the most impressive about Hanoi Moment is the hospitality - simply impeccable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with queries and requests. Make sure to ask them for street food and itinerary recommendations. They really go the extra mile to make sure you have a comfortable stay. For example, moving our luggages between the hotels. They also go out of their way to book things for you at minimal cost. Look for Jimmy at Hanoi II, who called dozens of Halong Bay tour operators to get us a cabin on New Year’s Eve with one day’s notice.

They’re not the cheapest hotels, granted, but they’re well worth the pennies. Also, try their club sandwich at breakfast - very decent.

Lovely hotel, the location was very handy and accessible to many places. Staffs are all very friendly and provided great tips and information, and would not hesitate to offer helps at all costs. The hotel is very welcoming and every staff is polite and friendly. Breakfast was awesome! Eggs were made fresh, and you can have a taste of local by selecting pho as breakkie. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Hanoi again.

Room Tip: Higher floors will be able to avoid the noise of motorcycles and traffics. In general all rooms are...

We stayed here for 3 nights in total, in 2 different rooms; Deluxe Double and the Junior Suite. Both rooms were excellent, comfortable, clean and quiet, despite the hotel being within the busy Old Quarter of the city, and therefore well-located for walking to most attractions. The hotel has a 'boutique', modern feel to it and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful without being invasive. The unexpected personal touches also made this one of our best hotel stays in Vietnam. The breakfast was fresh with a good variety, despite the small serving area. The airport pick-up and drop-off organised by the hotel were efficient and good value considering the distance. Overall, it was a really enjoyable few days for us.
