“#1 design and super location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

Meracus Hotel lighted up my life once entering this hotel via Booking.com,Hotel was the peak of decoration. Our room was prepared by roses, wine for our honey moon trip, all room amenties are modern, a laptop for complimentary was a bonus. Additionally, they save up to 30% for Halong A Class Opera Cruise for me & my wife(stay 1 night on the boat) and book Sapa trip for us (3 days/2nights). The trips were extremely excellent. It could not been better than staffs help us the city map, show how to go across among the people moving in old's quarter, especially staffs could tell any thing about this hastle city, The hotel got an excellent location, easily to hang out - chill out for local food, street food. all food & cofe here got excellent value, they were all reasonable.

The portrait in the room is a good hanger for clothes, Since the bed sort of block the wardrobe from opening fully. Hahas...but I'm not complaining since I like to see my clothes on display.

Location of the hotel is excellent. Out of the hotel and walk straight you would reach Ho Kien Lake, and on your right you would be in the heart of the old quarters. One of my highlight of the trip is the complimentary breakfast in the morning. You get to select an array of food and they change the main dishes everyday. So the comments below are true on the excellent breakfast.

Room itself is clean everyday. Staff is always smiling and greeting you on the corridoor. Would come back here again to stay in the future :)

As you will read in other reviews, this hotel was excellent.
Super friendly, English speaking staff.
A lovely fresh fruit drink on arrival (all safe!) and a cool wash cloth!
A breakfast that had variety each morning. It included both Vietnamese food and Western food. The breakfast staff were capable and willing to explain how to eat the Vietnamese food, if you were unsure.
The room was small, but clean.
A laptop and free internet connection were available in the room.
I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

My friend and I stayed here for a night before heading out the next morning for an two-night excursion to Halong Bay. The location and price are fantastic, and the staff is very friendly. Our room was pretty small (maybe there are larger ones for more money?) and for us, would have been a bit cramped for more than a day or two. Still, I think this hotel is a fantastic value, especially if you are looking to save money.

You'll already have read about the endless positives this hotel offers. Food, staff, ease and cost are all exceptional value. And if your a smoker who pays that little bit extra for a suite, you can relax at the end of a hard day touring on your private balcony, with a beer and cigarette in hand for a little more than a dollar a day. $1.25 for beers from the mini bar. Smokers Delight ! Its the little things that make the difference and this place has them in loads. Book direct with the hotel for a better rate than anywhere else. Tell them what you want and they'll make it happen. Booked everything from airport pick up and drop off, all daily tours, down to the about town taxis thru the hotel and it couldn't have been easier or more reliable. They even tell you the best times to attend restaurants and events depending on your preference for chilled out or buzzing vibes. Everyone should stay here at least twice. Will definitely rebook.

Room Tip: You pay for what you get and lets face it - that little bit extra is always worth it. Go for the sui...

My boyfriend and myself stayed here for five days during our holiday to Vietnam.

The hotel is not far from the lake, in the centre of the old city of Hanoi. When we arrived there were drinks, cold fannels, and smiling faces to welcome us which was much needed after the long flight and mayhem of Hanoi outside the front door!

The staff couldn't be more helpful which in general is a bit of a rarity in Vietnam. On the downside our room was small, but this is the city where space is at a premium. On the other hand, our was very clean, modern, and comfortable.

Altogether this hotel was really good value and I would definately stay here again if I went back to Hanoi.

Not often that I can say that a hotel hit 100% but this place did. The hotel entrance placed as it is ,in the middle of the busy streets is a real haven. The staff were super efficient and friendly, they met us at the airport with the car and when we left we were driven back. This was easily organised by email and was not expensive. The breakfasts very very good and our room was well set out. The bed was huge, a big king size and just so very nice to sleep in. The bathroom was great and the shower was exceptional with various options regards sprays etc. You could hear a little of the street noise but that was not too bad.
All in all just really hit all the right buttons for us.
