Well 96 certainly has street appeal, looks lovely from the street, clean, welcoming. We were doing a little bia tour, bar hopping around the old town. Needed some more drinks and rest the feet. It was about 5pm so the place was empty waiting for diners to come in. We sat out the front, nice greating, big menues. Toilets nice and clean, good sign. Hubbie grabbed a beer, easy, I ordered a Cab Sav. Waitress comes back sorry we don't have that wine. We have this one and this pointing to the menu. OK fine I'll have the one you receomend. Back 5mins later, sorry we don't have that wine. OK I'll have the other one you recoemended. 5 mins later, sorry we don't have this wine???? Why don't you just pour me a glass of red wine that you do have??? Finally a glass of red appeared. She wrestled the drinks menu off us, why? Can't we look at it? It might get you more money if we could browse the menu? There is no one else here? Oh please can't we keep it? umm no. OK?? She then insisted we ordered food, we tried to resist, please drink first, rest, maybe some food in a little bit, not we need to order food now. OK??? Ordered some appetisers. They appeared quickly and were some of the tastiest and well presented snacks we had in all of Vietnam. Hats off to chef for fresh and well plated food. The service gruff, but the food and venue lovely. Would I go back, yes I would!!
