“Awesome Vietnam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2014 NEW via mobile

Myself and 2 sons, 16 & 19, have just returned from 12 days in wonderful Vietnam bought through a Grab One special and arranged by Anthony Tran. As I am not an experienced traveller I decided it was best to arrange our trip by tour. We were extremely well looked after during our entire trip and at no time did I wonder if we were getting met. Like others who have reviewed we were met at all stops by a driver with our name on a board. We did the unusual step and went South to North ending with a lovely cruise in Halong Bay. All hotels stayed in might have been only 3 star but, in my opinion, they were well appointed, very comfortable and staff extremely helpful. Should I be lucky enough to return to this wonderful country I will have no hesitation in booking my trip through Go Asia Travel. Many thanks to Anthony and the generous people of Vietnam who looked after us so well. I will treasure this trip always.

“Great tour operator”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2014 NEW

We spent 15 days in Vietnam in November travelling with Go Asia under the watchful eye of Ms Lee. This was a perfectly organised tour. Ms Lee organised us an extra 4 nights at a beach resort in Phantom Thien which was perfect. We were met at every port whether plane train or bus, by a sign with our name on it. The hotels we stayed in were 3star but they were perfectly adequate. We had a nice mixture of private tours or small bus tours. We booked this trip through Grab One in New Zealand and it was incredible value for money. Thoroughly recommend them.

“Fabulous trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2014 NEW

We spent 18 days in Vietnam in October/November and would highly recommend Go Asia for your trip. Mr Anthony helped us extend our package and plan a trip tailored exactly to our requirements, then worked hard behind the scene to ensure a flawless result.
We enjoyed all our hotels, tours, and the guides were wonderful as well however we have a standout favourite of each - the Hanoi Glance hotel, a boutique hotel that offered impeccably clean rooms with 5 star service; that you plan a few extra days in Hoi An, borrow the hotel bikes and enjoy the town and country; and finally in Saigon make sure you specifically request Fat Man Hai, or Hai van Phan as your tour guide - he spoke flawless English, was extremely knowledgeable and funny - and while you are under no obligation to tip, that you do remember to do so for particularly good service.
We would highly recommend using Go Asia - in fact several of our friends are now doing exactly that and we can be confident they will be equally looked after.

“Hoa Lu and Tam Coc tour - highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2014

We took a Hoa Lu & Tam Coc tour on 6th December with our guide Dung.  The day started with a hotel pickup at 8am and finished with a dropoff at 7pm - a long day with two young kids (3yo and 5yo).  The tour took in a lot, with visits to King Dinh and King Le temples, buffet lunch at Tam Coc (OK food), sampan boat rides, cycling and a visit to the Bich Dong temples.  If you want you can get photo on a water buffalo at Hoa Lu (which we did, 20,000VND).  The temples and pagodas at Hoa Lu & Bich Dong were cool, the cycling was great fun and a refreshing change and the Tam Coc scenery was spectacular.

We especially enjoyed our guide Dung. As we departed Hanoi he gave us some background history on Hanoi, including its people, religion and politics past and present.  It was very interesting to hear his own perspective on these things after having enjoyed two Hanoi Kids tours on previous days.  At the different stops Dung gave us some tips on what we could expect and pitfalls to avoid (eg 'don't eat there', 'it is common to tip the sampan rowers  $1', 'that fried goat goes in that soup with that crispy rice thing and some herbs', and so on).  I noticed that when visiting the temples in Hua Lu, it seemed like Dung took us through to a couple of areas the other tours I saw weren't going to (eg. he moved some barriers out of the way to get us in!).  He also seemed extremely knowledgeable about all of the different places we went to.  Finally, on the long drive back he entertained us with a bit of conversation, palm reading and singing as well as pointing out the main sights of Hanoi. It's a long day with a lot of driving and I think having such a wonderful guide made a world of difference to how much we enjoyed it.

I would use and recommend the same tour company again.  The driver got us there and back at a safe pace without any manic driving. The only downside was the lack of legroom in the tour coach, but we are tall and seemed to be the only ones struggling with that.  Also, think about bringing snacks (or buy along the way) because it is a long time from lunch at 12 till dropoff at nearly 7pm - thankfully we had some bananas with us to feed our kids before they fell asleep on the way home.

“Recommendable: Tam Coc Day Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2014

Enjoyed the day trip to Tam Coc with tour guide Dung. He has proven a great tour guide and showed us around, but also has shared inspiring knowledge on Vietnam, Hanoi and local traditions. He topped it off with singing a couple of songs in the bus journey back to Hanoi. Recommendable.
