“It was fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2011

We can highly recommend this hotel. It is located in the old town of Hanoi, very closed to many restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. The staff is very friendly and would do everything for their guests, without being too pushy. The rooms are modern, clean and they have a very high standard. Breakfast is also very yummy. We were absolutely happy staying in this hotel.

This was an amazing room we got at this hotel! Freshly renovated, clean, Nice design,...

The staff is very frendly and thrustworthy. They are very devoted, but a bit agressive on selling forfaits that they dont know everything about...

Our experience in halons Bay on the calypso boat was not nice at all... We thought it was a cruise in the bay first, but it is not... The boat stay at the same place for 2 days and dont move at all! The main activity proposed is "relaxing" witch is a little though at 7am when you must wake up right away if you expect a warm breakfast... Dont expect to get too much drinks on the boat: they are very expensive (120000 dôngs!). What is shocking is that we ve been told the opposite by the hotel staff. That (not)cruise was WAY too much expensive for what we had (we also been left on a little Island beach for 6 hours with a few kayak and Nothing else to do...) oh! By the way, for 275$/person you dont even have a complimentary water bottle, you must pay them 1$ each...

The hotel staff gave us 30$ back after we came back from halong, but i still think that it is ridiculus

We booked a bus to ninh binh with the hotel. We already had booked our activities there. We left at 9am and only arrived at 1pm as the tourist bus stops at different tourist spot to make you buy crap on your way... For 7$ each (local bus is 3$) we had to cut in our activities as they did not told us about those stops..

That said, very very nice hotel, beautiful rooms, so friendly staff, but definetly not a booking agency... Just get a room there and you Will love your stay!

Only hotel-oriented bad comment: beds are too much comfortable, you dont want to get up in the morning!

Firstly, I hope you can accept my sincerest apology about the issues that you had with the tours to Ha Long and Ninh Binh . I'm disappointed to read your feedback and that the tour we arranged for you did not meet your expectations. I've also contacted the travel agency and discuss with them about the problems mentioned by you. However, as we are now a brand new hotel, it is from feedback that guests give us that we try and improve the service at the hotel. I have taken note of them and am looking into them in more detail.

However, I'm happy to hear that you found the room that we allocated you at the hotel to your liking.

Once again, Thank you very much for your constructive feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future so we can do our very best to deliver the perfect service to you.

Kind Regards,

Micheal

Our stay at the sans souci 4 was wonderfull, one of the best hotels we stayed on our trip in vietnam! Our room was very clean, spacy with a confy bed and the rain-shower was fantastic :)
The staff was very very friendly and they helped us with everything we asked them. For example the friendly girl from the reception picked us up at 4 am at the train station after we came back from Sapa, the manager helped us getting medicine from a good pharmacy etc.At the same time they were not too pushy but always there when you needed them -well done! The manager organised our trips to Sapa and Ha Long Bay too.Everything was well organised and we had a lot of fun on both trips!Especially the trekking in Sapa and the home stay in the mountains were fantastic
We will definitely come back next year, thank you very much for everything
Kind regards from Germany and Switzerland, Sam and Kathi

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights and loved the place. The room was really good value for money and the hotel had some great facilities. Although I couldn’t get my boyfriend away from the pool table! We are coming back through Hanoi in a few months time, and we will definitely be staying here again! Highly recommended.

This hotel is only open for 2 months and is in excellent condition. Beautiful rooms, great beds and a nice bathroom with great shower. The service is excellent, the staff is very helpful and really want to give you a pleasant stay.
It is perfectly located in the old quarter.
If I ever visit Hanoi again I would definitely stay at the Sans Souci IV again.

I stayed here at the end of a long trip because I wanted to stay somewhere nice for my last few days and this was the perfect choice. The room was big and very nicely decorated. Everything was new. It even had a balcony. There were a lot of choices for the breakfast which was included in the price. But the best part was the staff. They were so friendly. Everyone knew me by name and I was greeted and offered assistance each time I came into the lobby. It really is a great hotel in a great location.
