This lovely pagoda and its environs is built out into the waters of West Lake. It is away from the center, and not easy to get to unless you are looking for it. Which we weren't, we just found whiie searching for the swan paddle boats of West Lake. It was a delightful surprise, and we spent a very restful and serene interlude wandering the grounds. If you find yourself tiring of the pace of tourist Hanoi, this is a great place for a respite.
Be aware that of you go around rush hour, getting back can be difficult, especially if you're trying to find a cab. They are mostly headed the other way, and mostly full.
