“Almost perfect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

Excellent value for money. I had an airport transfer who was waiting for me(unlike another hotel I stayed at in Hanoi on the same trip) the room was lovely except there was no view, it looked onto a wall so I couldn't see if it was raining or night or day. The wifi was a bit sketchy in the room but it had a PC which I used so not a problem. I used the wifi in the lobby and every time I sat down they gave me free tea! A very nice touch. The breakfast was very good. The location great right in the middle of things, but very quiet in my room. The service was excellent from all people and the man on the front desk was very helpful in explaining how to get around and avoid taxi rip offs. I am a middle aged solo business man looking type so an easy target I think! But I had no problems. The only slight downside was that one reason I chose this hotel was the roof top bar, pool, view etc.. And unluckily for me it was being renovated during my stay so closed.

Excellent staff who couldn't be more helpful. Great location, lovely breakfast. Organised a fantastic food tour. Room was lovely and spacious Would definitely stay here again. (If you don't like noise, ask for a room at the back)

Middle of the action in old town. Great little pool to get out of the heat but tiny and no sun cover. We booked 4 classic rooms and none had windows. We paid the extra $20 for the same size room which was very nice but a with window. Disappointedly this was not more obvious when booking.
Staff were very friendly. One of our group had a birthday while there and the staff organised a cake without being asked, sang happy birthday and did not charge anything for it. The breakfast station was first class. Overall a good experience.

Room Tip: I personally wouldn't book a classic room.

We are a family of 4 and just loved not only the clean room and fab location but the staff.
I was blown away by the hospitality and the care factor. The lady that booked the tours organised ours to Halong Bay. We went on the Grays 3 night tour. It really was so great.
She did everything to make our stay amazing at the Tirant and I highly recommend staying.
Oh also it had the most comfortable bed we have yet to have in Vietnam in our 4 week adventure.
Thanks lovely lady at the tour desk and so grateful you remembered we wanted roast pork belly as we couldn't get it before Halong Bay because it was raining and you delivered it to us on our return. Thank you a beautiful act of kindness.

Room Tip: stay here is central to the fun part of town!

We stayed here for two nights and it was everything we needed! Clean and spacious room, perfect downtown location, good breakfast and great customer service. Nancy at the hotel arranged for our arrival visas, our airport transfer, our cruise to Halong Bay and private transportation from the bay to the airport. Most remarkable of all though, was that I left a pair of pants at the hotel and asked them to give them to the driver picking us up in Halong Bay, but he had already departed. So they (at no charge!) had another driver take them to the airport and give them to me before we left for Hong Kong. The hotel was great, but the service sold us!!

Very central location - all staff super attentive and very helpful. Rooms nice and clean with good bathroom. We booked twin room and these always seem a little smaller than doubles but it was more than adequate for two ladies and luggage. Breakfast selection good and enjoyed lovely omelettes. Rooftop bar and restaurant nice escape from heat and hustle on the streets below with great views. Would definitely recommend.

Tirant Hotel is in a perfect location to base yourself, The Hoàn Kiếm Lake is only 5min away, heaps of shopping around every corner, This place is a great home away from home.

When you arrive you have tea offered to you while they finalise the paperwork and setup your room, aswell as passing on a map of Hanoi with your hotel marked on the map for your convenience. The bell boys are very helpful and the staff a very friendly.

Me and my Partner arrived in Hanoi quite sick, but Tirant hotel gave us a great place to relax to return to better health.

Beds are pretty comfy, rooms are a great size, plenty of room to spill 2 large suit cases out. The Shower is fantastic, the Bathroom a good size. Wifi is strong and always accessible, from the lobby, breakfast and your room.

Speaking of Breakfast, the best range of food available of all the hotels we stayed at in Vietnam. Plenty of local and western food, and a kitchen for you to place order for eggs and pho.

We used the hotels airport/hotel transfer and they were great, quick and efficient, and cheaper than a taxi. not to mention the peace of mind of not getting ripped off or getting a dodgy taxi.

The Restaurant on Level 1 and the Top level (and room service) have the same Menu just FYI.
Great views of Hanoi from the rooftop, the Pool was pretty small and we never used it.

Definitely shortlist this Hotel for your trip to Hanoi!

Room Tip: Rooms on Level 2 are bigger
