Owner description: What better way to enjoy the spectacular scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site than on board an Indochina Sails or Valentine Junk! With over a decade of hosting international guests on the tranquil waters of Halong Bay, Indochina Sails has set the standard for luxury cruising. The first company to offer overnight cruises on the bay, Indochina Sails is now widely known as the number one choice for discerning travelers, operating a fleet of six newly built wooden junks designed in time-honored traditional style, with contemporary and luxurious cabins and facilities. Our boats feature spacious, well-appointed cabins and suites with large en-suite bathrooms, large sundecks with comfortable lounging furniture and elegant dining rooms and bars. We have designed and fitted our boats to international standards while maintaining traditional styling, creating the perfect balance of modern comforts and nostalgic ambiance.

“Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

We were in a group of 6 people (3 couples) and undertook the 2 days, 1 night excursion and had a wonderful experience with Indochina Sails...this started with the initial correspondence interaction through to the final ""drop off back"to our hotel. The staff were very friendly and accomodated all our needs. The food was of high quality and certainly an ample amount of choices available. The rooms were very comfortable and what a magnificent vista of Halong Bay when waking up in the morning. Thank you to the wonderful crew and other team members on shore - a most memorable experience!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

“Flawless experience, memories for a lifetime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013 via mobile

Indochina Sails was the perfect way to enjoy the wonders of HaLong Bay. A group of eleven (ages 22-83) did the 2-day overnight cruise in late October. The entire experience was flawless from start to finish. The cabins were immaculate, very comfortable, and offered a grand view of the bay. The service was gracious, caring, friendly, helpful, thorough and sincere. The food was delicious, authentic, plentiful, and beautiful. The sights were always breath-taking. Exploring the fishing village from bamboo boats rowed by women and teens was a highlight for me. Don't miss the glorious sunrise over the bay! I believe that Indochina Sails offers the best experience, and at the best price. To experience the wonders of HaLong Bay and the impenetrable peace of this awesome place, cruise with Indochina Sails. My only regret is that we did not do the 3-day trip...

“Unbelievable Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

My wife and I, together with 6 friends have just recently returned from holidaying in Vietnam.
One of the highlights of our trip was the overnight cruise exploring the spectacular beauty of Halong Bay aboard an Indochina Sails junk. From the moment we boarded the vessel, the service and attention we received was superb. Everything from the included fine selection of Vietnamese and International meals to the excellent arrangements of sightseeing and activities left nothing to be desired.
The cabins were spacious and extremely comfortable, and without hesitating I can strongly recommend an Indochina Sails Halong Bay cruise,

“halong luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Just finished a two day/one night cruise in Halong Bay with Indochina Sails. It was fantastic: boat was scrupulously clean, cabin was awesome, bathroom was lovely, shower was great.
Food was amazing, so much choice and all delicious, lunch dinner and breakfast no less than you'd expect in a 5 star hotel.
Halong Bay is beautiful..yes, it's quite touristy now but hey, we're tourists so I guess it's to be expected, there were several excursions included, all of which were very 'touristy' but again, that's what we are!
Alex, our tour guide was great, his English is excellent, he, and all the staff and crew, looked after us really well, there is not one bad thing to say about the experience.
Loved the kids from the fishing village rowing with their feet -Amazing!

“Fantastic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

My wife and I took this luxury cruise recently for one night-two days sail through Ha long Bay. The tour was very well organized. Tour guide "Happy Buddha" was awesome and took care of every thing that we could think of. The tour through surprise cave and fishermen's island was great. The cruise was very well maintained and food was excellent. Since the group size was smaller, we could know each other by name at the Happy hour!!
