Me and my wife took this amazing tour yesterday, our tour guide was a young girl name Yan. You will never believe that she just started her job for 5 mouths, as she is so knowledgable about all the local food and how to make them.
We booked the tour through email. Mr. Anh replied my email immediately after I sent it. it was at about 1130 PM! He sent me all the details of the tour and also offer the airport pick up for us. It was with fee of course, but still it is very nice and considerate of him.
Yan picked us at the hotel and we went together to pick us the other spouse who are from Australia. At about 1130 we started our adventure of food on foot. We had rice pancakes, deep fried frog, sugar crane juice, eel soup, exotic fruits, Bun cha(a local food with meat and rice noodle), fruit desert, grilled fish, egg coffee, we even stopped in their office to meet with Mr. Anh to have the traditional rice wine, which is delicious. Out of all dishes, I liked the Bun cha the most, the meat with sweet and sour sauce, it is really refreshing!!
Yan answered all our questions with very good English and she is so passionate about her job. she is not like a tour guide but a friend showing proudly about her city. At the end, we could not eat any more, she wrote down the name and address of some other recommendations so we can try it tomorrow. After she dropped us back to the hotel, we found that we left the umbrella in the massage places, and she volunteered to go back for us!
It is highly recommended! you have to try it if you are a foodie!
