“Wonderful hotel and excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

This hotel was fabulous and the staff were amazing. The staff here were the best staff in all of Vietnam, they were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was cooked to order every morning and was great. The room service was excellent and very cheap. It was a fantastic location, in the middle of the Old Quarter and within walking distance to lots of restaurants and the best street food. (gotta try the deep fried cheese sticks!)

The only downside was the size of the room, it was small. The quality and cleanliness was fantastic it was just tiny. Also if you are a light sleeper we recommend that you take a room not facing the street. Every morning at 7.30 there was a lengthy announcement with some patriotic music thrown in blaring from loud speakers in the street courtesy of the Government. Not the fault of the hotel at all but worth bearing in mind. We didnt encounter this in Ho Chi Minh, we think its a Hanoi thing.

I would stay here again.

We stayed here 14th, 15th and 16th November. This hotel is very small. Only two rooms per floor. On arriving we were a little disappointed with our room being so small, but the quality of the rooms and the staff completely make up for the lack of space in the rooms. It is in a great location for the old quarter, very busy, fun, quite mad, area. We loved it! Definitely recommend this wonderful hotel, and really appreciate the service given by the superb staff.

We recently stayed at the Hanoi elite hotel , we booked this hotel after reading some very glossy reviews on TA. I must say that the staff ot elite are exceptional. Mr thang, ms ha, and ms hang went well above any customer service i have ever seen to ensure that our holiday was effortless. Prior to arriving in Vietnam mr thang organized our halong bay 3 day/ 2 night cruise and airport transfers and then again accommodation after the cruise. On arrival at the hotel all staff ensured that we were looked after with welcoming cooling drinks, baggage taken care of and providing useful information about Hanoi and itineries for tours etc. unfortunately due to adverse weather conditions we could not board our cruise on the booked dates and needed to stay in Hanoi an extra day . The elite staff arranged alternative accommodation for us, kept us up to date with the deferred cruise days, cancelled our booked accommodation in hue ( our next stop) and also arranged changed flight details with an upgrade. Nothing was any trouble , and they were a step  ahead all the way .

This hotel is first class in service, friendliness , initiative and hospitality.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning on a holiday in Vietnam.

Such an amazing City Hanoi. One of our favourites traveling through Vietnam. Hanoi Elite Hotel was a perfect pick. Such beautiful clean rooms to come back to for cooling down after getting in amongst it all (and at the cute little breakfast area at the front of the restaurant, you can glance out at the alley and watch the motorbikes whizz by), But apart from all this, the best thing about Hanoi Elite was the service. They were so helpful, kind and lovely and even when we concluded our stay there and were heading to Halong Bay, they offered to hold the bags we didn't need. When returning from Halong Bay at the crazy time of 4am, they made sure there was a staff member waiting for us at reception. We needed a room for the day as we weren't leaving Hanoi until 11.30pm by train so they arranged that for us at their sister hotel and they provided a person free of charge to come to the station and ensure we got on safely. I could go on more about all the wonderful things they did for us, but you'll experience it for yourself if you stay there.

From the beginning to the end, our experience at Hanoi Elite Hotel and all of the staff was exemplary. Mr. Thang, Ms. Ruby and all of the staff helped us immeasurably prepare for our trip (the airport transfers and set up of the trip to Halong Bay) as well as the assistance while staying there (restaurant suggestions, where to shop for specific items, even allowing for the purchase of the beautiful Bat Trang ceramics).
I would like to point out that even though we stayed at 5 star chain hotels on this trip: Intercontinental (Hong Kong), Mandarin (Macau) and Shangri La (Singapore), our stay with Hanoi Elite was personal, extremely comfortable (wonderful linens, beds, computer access) and the breakfasts were spectacular. Starting the morning off with Pho and a banana pancake, iced or hot Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk is the perfect beginning to any day that Hanoi has to throw at you. We even threw in a fruit plate and were encouraged to try everything they had to offer. Served hot and fresh. The fruit plate was divine! The personal touch and attention to detail is what makes this hotel every bit as excellent as any of these upper end hotels.
Just to mention, we stayed in the bottom room (family room) which is located just above the breakfast area. The slight sounds in the morning were not loud or irritating. The staff were always available to assist with luggage movement or helping us out to the street for our taxis. We heard no street noise. This is a perfect location for this bustling city. The entertainment in the old quarter, from just walking around to sitting at the corner beer storefront on little stools while watching the miracles of traffic (walkers, sellers, scooters, cars, trucks, bikes) all navigating the intersection without a single collision, is incredible.
Thank you to Ms. Ruby and Mr. Thang for everything!

Chose this because of high recommendations on trip advisor.
Boutique hotel, very clean but small. 2 rooms on floor. Only downside is no lift. Very quiet street, but at the end you turn directly into heart of old city. Huge selection of TV stations plus movie box. fantastic bed and very soft pillows. Staff are exceptional, really go out of the way to help. Laptop in room with internet. Walk in shower, safe, fruit on arrival, fridge, mini bar.
Booked for 2 nights and decided to come back for last night after boat trip. They even watch your luggage so you dont have to take it all to boat. Highly recommend
Sorry no awimming pool, and unable to remove rating.

Room Tip: stairs could be a problem if you are above 3rd floor and not fit
