This hotel was small but perfectly formed with fantastic rooms & everything possible you could need, including laptop and Wi-Fi. The staff could not do enough for you and the rooms were immaculate.

As it is situated in the old town, one of the best things is that it is on a pedestrian street which means you do not get the traffic noise...which believe me is constant when out and about.

We had a room on the front and back on separate stays and both were great, the rooms on the back are slightly bigger.

All in all a great hotel with friandly staff and very cheap!

Room Tip: rooms on the back possibly a little bigger

We had a great experience with Mr Vu Duy Thang before we even arrived. We spoke to him via Skype before we decided to stay. He also helped us a few weeks later when we were looking to go on a Halong Bay Cruise and he ended up booking this for us. The hotel is in a great location in the old quarter, close to many restaurants, shopping and the night markets during the weekend. Its also walking distance to many of the attractions. We got the best service out of anywhere we went in Vietnam at Hanoi Elite. We had some issues on our cruise and Mr Vu Duy Thang was quick to resolve these and was very good in dealing with this. (Even better we ended up getting a room upgrade). The ladies at the front desk were really friendly. They pointed out a few local places to eat which was great sitting on the plastic stools with the locals eating awesome food. The service went beyond what you would expect with Mr Vu Duy Thang even emailing me a couple of weeks later to say happy birthday to my girlfriend..Great stay and would definitely go back!

This was one of the best surprises we've had. The location was superb in the old quarters, the room though small, was perfect. The breakfast was fantastic.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. They booked us into a sister hotel for us to return to after a few days in Halong Bay, and our luggage was awaiting us there.

Great value for money!

Room Tip: The room we had was on level 3, and perfect. Just have to climb a few flights of stairs, but the sta...

My wife and I travel a lot, but our (4-day) stay in the Hanoi Elite was one to remember for sure! A real must-see gem.
The hotel is in the middle of the old centre in a "quiet" little sidestreet off busy Dao Duy Tu street. Compact, but the rooms offer more than you would expect in this price-range. Best of all though is the enthusiasm and helpfulness of the -entire- staff. We had some specific requirements and unusual transfers to arrange, but mr. Thang and his assistants took care of it all and for a reasonable price. Airport - pickup in private car with name-tag-reception was taken care of for $ 18 / one-hour ride.
Take our advice and approach mr. Thang (even via Skype) if you want a solid and comfortable base in old-center Hanoi!

Room Tip: Rooms ending in "1" face the inner court; a bit quieter than the other numbers in each flo...

This hotel is set in a very quiet lane way in the heart of the old quarter. From the moment we booked online, the customer manager Mr Thang has been extremely helpful in booking a Halong Bay cruise as well as transfers for us. Upon arrival we were greated by a very friendly staff team aiming to make our stay a truly memorable one. And they did! They organised a honeymoon cake to be delivered and decorated our room with fresh flower petals. The room was very clean (and so is the whole hotel) cosy and very comfortable, beakfast was really good too. They even transferred our luggage to our next hotel whilst we were on a day trip to Ninh Binh. An absolute gem to recommend to anyone. We loved it!

Stayed here for three nights in November and would definitely return again. Service is personalised and unrivalled even compard to some six star hotels I have stayed in.

As a minor gripe, found the six floor a bit on the noisy side so would guess the fourth and fifth are the ideal.

All in all perfect and would definitely return
