“Lovely stay, very helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2011

We had heard that Hanoi wasn't the most pleasant of cites, and arrived late in the evening wary of the various scams we had heard about. We were collected from the airport, and arrived stressed tired and hungry after a very delayed flight. The restaurants were closed and room service had finished, however the staff at Hanoi Elite opened the kitchen and prepared us a light meal, it was very considerate and appreciated.

The following day the staff were very helpful in organising a trip to Halong Bay. Overall our stay was very pleasant, the rooms were modern and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Hanoi is a great place and the staff at Hanoi Elite were some of the nicest we have met in our travels.

What can I say about the Hanoi Elite that hasn't already been said. Everything from the service at the front desk to the room, to the ample breakfast was perfect and left us wanting for nothing. I'm pretty hard customer to please and having had a mixed experience of hospitality in China, I was a bit dubious about hotels in Vietnam but was overwhelmingly surprised at our first stop in Hanoi.

Staff are exceptionally helpful, whether its planning your day of sightseeing or restaurant recommendations. We had a room on the top floor and though its a fair hike up the stairs (there's unfortunately no lift, due to the boutique like nature of the building) its well worth the climb - rooms are airy, light and comfortable with newly refurbished bathrooms, AC you can feel instantly - a welcome relief from the heat in the day.

Where the hotel excels is going over and above what you'd normally expect like kindly making us breakfast to go on our 4am start to Halong Bay and offering to keep our luggage in the hotel while we were away.

If you are heading to Hanoi - Make this your hotel stop.

Room Tip: rooms at the top are great

My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the breakfasts were excellent, the staff unbelievable in their standards of service and the rooms were perfect. This tastefully designed little boutique hotel is in a great location, it's peaceful which is bliss in Hanoi! We wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to others. The staff couldn't do enough, from posting cards for us to getting us a Sim card to organsing our visa extensions, unbelievable service considering how reasonable this hotel is. Don't hesitate in booking you wont be disappointed.

One last point, we stayed in Hanoi Elegance on our last night as the Elite was full, it was fine but we much preferred the Elite.

Hanoi Elite Hotel - a boutique establishment of only 12 rooms - was opened 7 months ago. The warm welcome you receive from the professionally trained staff sets the tone for your stay. All of the staff seem to remember your name and are full of help and advise. The room is well appointed with features that were beyond my expectations. The bed was deliciously comfortable with massive soft pillows. The ensuite was roomy and spotlessly clean. There is a safe for your valuables, a lap top with internet connection, a large flat screen TV plus a large array of free movies to watch, tea making facilities and a bar fridge. Best of all was the location: set down a quiet lane, protected from the hustle and bustle of the old quarter, yet literally metres away from a district full of great eateries and funky little bars. Hanoi Elite Hotel gets a thumbs up from me - I'll be back one day!

What a fantastic find. Reasonable rate with five star service. Great location down a quiet little side street. Close to all the main shopping in the old quarter and lake. the staff couldn’t have been more helpful making this hotel the best we stayed in for our whole time in Vietnam. the rooms were presented well. Breakfasts were cooked fresh to order. Very helpful with booking the Halong Bay trip. we would recommend this hotel to anyone

This hotel was absolutely great. The staff were very friendly and willing to help out in anyway they could. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was located right in the heart of the Old Quarter, in very close walking range of restaurants, sights and shops. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Hanoi.

This is a fabulous new hotel in the centre of the old town. Rooms are spotless with all amenities required, including comfotable bed and pillows. Breakfast is great - the French toast is the best. Breakfast is all you can eat - you just have to ask. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always there with a smile morning or night.

We also had a spa package at one of the other hotels in the group - would highly recommend this, even if it is just to escape the madness of Hanoi for a few hours
