“Fantastic Experience in Splendid Jupiter Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2011

First of all, all personel of Splendid Jupiter Hotel are very friendly. Thus, I felt very comfortable just like my home. And one thing more, I could watch the wonderful dvd in the hotel room. TV was a new LCD, and dvd player was wonderful. I could watch the concert Mozart Symphony No. 40 in G minor, by Karl Boem, Wien Philharmonic Orchesrra! At the hotel lobby, they served always something to drink. Thus, in conclusion, I could say, booking this hotel, if you want to have a fantastic experience!

Room Tip: Please choose a hotel near the old quarter of Hanoi!

For the price, a great place to stay. Staff is always attentive and talkative. Rooms were clean and fairly decent. Make sure you get a room with a window though, the ones without are quite stuffy. All rooms seemed to be equipped with a computer for easy online access.

For a few days in Hanoi this is a great place. The location is great with walking distance to most things in the old part of town. They were very accommodating with our booking so that we could get up to Halong Bay.

Only negatives would be that the staff is almost overly attentive...if that could be a complaint!! They're a little over eager to help which can get a bit much. We booked our Halong tour through them which seemed to be priced the same everywhere else. However, would suggest you book taxi, train and other things elsewhere. We found prices for train tickets at almost half the cost they quoted us.

Also, bring US cash if you can. All prices here are quoted in US and the exchange rate they use to convert back to Dong is higher than anywhere else we've seen in Vietnam.

Very clean rooms with sunlight and lots of engish channels like HBO,CINEMAX and STARMOVIES just for the ones that don't know thier lanuage. The hotel is also situated in the heart of all amunnities like the ancient church for those of you that are christians and close to the Hoan Kiem Lake where you could relax in fancy romantic resturants with a few drinks. After all it's very nice hotel to me and personaly reconmend after my week of stay, excellent!

A gem in the best part of Hanoi. Eveything is within easy walking distance.Peter (at the front desk) has helped in so many ways--organising quick flights when my father died, bringing my passport to the airport when I left it in the room safe, taking me to and picking me up from the Opera house show, and all without accepting any money.Nothing is ever too much. I will always include a visit to Hanoi and this hotel on my future trips to Vietnam. The balcony rooms overlooking St Jo's Cathedral and the bustling square are exquisite.

The staff here are amazing, very helpful, kind, friendly and most speak excellent English. Being our first trip to Vietnam we felt very comfortable and safe here. The hotel is clean, tidy, well presented and air conditioned which was a huge PLUS! TV's and facilities were great along with a nice rooftop view for your daily breakfast. Riverside Palace Hotel I would recommend to any traveller looking for a 'base camp' in Hanoi. The only issue we had were the very hard beds but we discovered this was quote common throughout Vietnam but at least all the linen was very clean.

Room Tip: Go for the Penthouse on the top floor, its still very affordable and the view is just lovely. Room/B...

I have leaved here for 6 days.
The hotel is near the church, very beautiful view, and take about 5 mins walk to the famous lake in center of Ha noi.

The hotel is not on the street, it is on a small dragonet, so in the night, it is quite.
And the room is equiped with computer, wifi free, very fast.

Big windows. i like it very much.
Good price, expecially the staff are very good, can speak good english, and take me around to buy things. very good.

Next time i will come again.
Loris from guangzhou china.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, tucked away in an alley, with plenty of good restaurants close by that you won't even have to cross a single harrowing street to get to! The price was very reasonable.
The staff are friendly and helpful with perfect English - I think some of these language skills might have been employed in previous reviews though!
Negative points for me included grubby sheets and towels - they haven't been white or fluffy for some considerable time! The room was in dire need of a coat of paint, the oft mentioned rock hard bed, low water pressure with inconsistent water temperature, a good deal of noise from other parts of the hotel (doors slamming, upstairs bathroom use sounds like it's in your room), dodgy door locks - difficulty getting in and locking, and finally a safe that required a visit from the desk to operate. The breakfast area was a smoke filled cave - literally and breakfast looked totally unappetizing.
