“1.Friendly hotel staffs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

We booked Green Street hotel on the basis of recommendation from others, and i can honestly say that we never regretted for the decision. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts were delicious and filling (just what we needed before venturing out into the organised chaos of the Old Quarter). However, the best thing by far was the hotel staff - without exception they were friendly, helpful and virtually treated us as family. They recommended and booked for us trips to both Sapa and Halong Bay, which were brilliant. Whenever we needed to book a taxi, that was no problem for the hotel's staff, and it arrived almost within seconds. The Green Street Hotel is also close to all of the delights of the Old Quarter. We heartily recommend the Green Street Hotel, and will certainly return on our next visit to Hanoi in 2016

Seems like the nicest vietnamese people work in this hotel. They will do everything to ease your stay. The hotel is simple but located in a terrific place and if your room is high, they will help you carry the luggage. They also arrange tours for the most reasonable prices. In short, we recommend warmly.

The staff was helpful, room clean and water warm. BUT it seems this is not a hotel for the ones who want to sleep during the night.

We had a private room on second floor. In the evening all the noise of the people heading out to party from the lobby echoed loudly to our room. Around 11pm we were about to go down and ask the people to tone it down, but they left right then - only to return around one. We tried to sleep, but it was impossible. My friend finally went down to complain and what he saw was 10-15 people (of which most were not staying at the hotel) having a party in the lobby. Only when my friend talked to the man working the reception that night did he stop the party. After that, there was still noise from the people staying at the hostel until 3.30am (running the stairs up and down and talking in the hallway).

We stayed for 1 night, but if we understood correctly the conversersation other guests were having with the night receptionist on the morning we arrived, there had been a party of some sorts on the night before as well.

We understand that a party hotel is something many people are looking for, but the hotel advertises itself for welcoming for example business travellers as well as tourists. It is not okay to have random lobby parties in the middle of the night if the hotel does not inform guests about this on booking sites. The case would have been different if there would have been a bar in the hotel, but this was not the case.

Me and a friend spend few nights in this hotel and it was perfect. They are very friendly and can help you for anything (good place to go, information for tours or help you with your motorbike and more...)
Good place you are near all facilities.
Take time to speak with them they are very interesting and it's not a place where they want just your money.
It was one of our best hotel in Vietnam
Just go there :)

Myself and 4 other of my boys hit this place up and was treated with EXCEPTIONALLY good service by the owners, Alex and Ian. It's located downtown in the Old Quarter in the backpacker district, with copious amounts of shopping and food around. The rooms and bathrooms are simple, but very clean and comfortable. Alex and Ian went out of the way to treat us with very good care and ensured out stay in Vietnam was experienced to it's true potential. Upon entry we were greeted with unlimited free beer and unlimited free oreos. You will not regret staying here.

I myself booked the room via booking .com with Green Street hotel. I paid 11 Euros per night but i was happy with hotel breakfast. Real Vietnamese coffee for me. How it was wonderful to wait your coffee being served by Vietnamese style. Differ from American or western way to make hot or ice coffee! Simple breakfast but fantastic service. With 11 Euros for 2 persons one night, looked very competitive price. I liked the way staff served my stay.

Room Tip: i like room # 301
