“Can't be beat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Friendly, helpful staff and comfortable, quiet rooms best describe our stay. Wife had a bad day due to too much heat and Mr Huy arranged for a Dr to come and see her. All worked out fine. The staff also prepares a nice breakfast and helps with travel plans. Recommend you take advantage of their services, it will save you time and money. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room had no window but was very quiet in a noisy city!

We stay at the Royal Palace at the end of January and all i can say for this being my first time in Vietnam was what a great hotel. They did it all for us from arranging pick up at the airport to a 2 night trip to Ha Long Bay to our train ride to Hue what a great way to start off a holiday. All the staff and especially Mr.Huy were so friendly with any of our needs from maps of the city and directions to breafast in the morning. We chose the room with the balcony and when we arrived it was just like the photos very clean and the beds were great. When we go back to Hanoi why would we stay anywhere else.Thank you Royal Palace

Room Tip: Balcony was great for a glass of wine

Before booking the hotel, I had considered other options, however my final choice was the RPH, mainly because it had very good reviews from guests. I stayed 4 nights in total in a very nice and spacious Deluxe Room. Even thou it is only a 3* hotel, the experience was definitely a 5*. The attentiveness of staff, especially of Huy, who was walking an extra mile to make all his guests happy. The reception was kind enough to organize a Ha Long Bay cruise for me, which was an utterly unforgettable experience.
If you are looking for a hotel, a walking distance from main attractions, yet, away from the MAIN noise (there is no quiet spot in the Old Quarter), a cosy spot, affordable and super friendly, RPH is the place. If I ever go back to Ha Noi, I will definitely stay at RPH.

Room Tip: It's worth paying a few extra $$ for a Deluxe Room with a city view, a breath of fresh air.

We had a great stay at the royal palace hotel after trekking in sapa and long bus trips to halong bay. Great value for money and close to the action. They sorted out our washing and gave us a nice room to rest up for a few days. Try the cafe next door, Hanoi social club.

We stayed before and after our trip to Ha Long Bay. Good location on an alleyway in the Old Quarter. Big rooms, plenty of space, very clean, fast internet. Friendly, helpful staff. The cheapest rooms have no windows, so unless you're on a really tight budget spend a few bucks more for a window. The room on the 8th floor has a private balcony which is very cool. Breakfast is not buffet, but is cooked to order and includes a good selection of various eggs, etc plus juice and fruit.
A couple of suggestions to mgmt: put a bottle or 2 of free water in the room, you shouldn't have to buy water to brush your teeth. I know there is water in the lobby but it is a dispenser and there's no way to get it to the room. Also, instead of iced tea mix in the room, I'd suggest 2 tea bags.
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay and would definitely recommend this place.

Room Tip: Room #801 is great for family with kid(s). 2 beds (1 queen, 1 double) and private balcony overlookin...

Great hotel to stay at at an affordable rate. Hotel staff especially, Huy is very helpful. Hotel is an a central area in lots to do and places to eat. Rooms were clean, well kept. Staff was very helpful in helping obtain a sim card for cellphone, booking train travel and assisting with advice.

This private hotel is great for the price range. The staff are lovely and try and go above and beyond for you. The rooms are nice, big and clean. The breakfast is not a buffet, you choose an item from their menu and it is made within minutes and on your table. This is not a Accor or Starwood hotel, it is a private little hotel in Vietnam - so a little rough around the edges.
