“excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

stayed here for three nights and went on the halong bay tour that they organized.

The value for money is excellent. Rooms are good enough and the location is great.

The best thing is the staff who take really great care of you. This place certainly lives up to it's other reviews so I would certainly recommend.

We visited Hanoi last month and stayed at the Symphony hotel on the day of our arrival and a few days later again after visiting the north and Halong Bay.
On both stays the rooms were fantastic, the staff were very friendly and eager to assist and we felt like family there.
The hotel is in the middle of the old quarter and within walking distance to most of the attractions.
The computer in the room was a very nice and helpful addition, and we also extensively used the wifi.

Room Tip: Choose the higher rooms as the street can be quite noisy. Make sure to lock the porch door at night.

Located in the old quarter of Hanoi and a lot of sights are therefore within walking distance. The owners are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean and the two tours we booked through the hotel (Halong Bay 3 days with Galaxy Cruises and Hoa Lu with Go Asia) were well worth doing. The only slightly negative
remark I have is that the limited breakfast choice gets a bit tiring if you stay for more than three days.

Stayed here either side of a trip to Halong Bay, which we also booked through the hotel, and paid for when we checked out at the end of our stay. Very friendly and helpful. We arrived quite early and were able to get straight into our room. Large, clean and comfortable room with safe, kettle and even a PC! Would highly recommend.

We as a 5-persons family traveled to Hanoi and booked two rooms, one night only in this hotel. We arrived early in the morning at Hanoi airport, the hotel still welcomed us and gave one available room for us to rest, leave the luggage although the check-in time should be in the afternoon. The rooms were cozy, clean and the beds were so comfortable.

On the second day we were supposed to catch the night train to Sapa. We have to check out at 12.00, however the hotel could guarded our belongings for us to go outside. When we came back around 16.00, the hotel offered us to use the shower in one room so that we all can get fresh before the night train.

Coming back from Sapa at 4.00 in the morning at Hanoi train station, we had another tour to Halong bay and would be picked up at 8.30. The hotel manager knew that and offered us to come back to the hotel when we finished the trip to Sapa so that he would offered us a room to rest and wait for the pick up. We were not so sure about this kind offer, but we actually came back, knocked the door very early in the morning, the front-desk staff still welcomed us, gave us a key room and we all could rest. We came down around 7.00 and the staff kindly asked what we would like for breakfast, he cooked for us and gave us drinks. After that we asked for paying because we used the room, had breakfast in the hotel, but he denied and said the hotel treated every guests the same way, they would not ask for any surcharge.

After all, we only booked one night and booked no tour from this hotel, yet they offered us the best service we've ever experienced. They truly made our stay in Hanoi convenient. We will not hesitate to come back to this hotel again if we stay in Hanoi.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

Not just getting all our tours sorted during the time we stayed around Hanoi, they also let us use a free room to get clean and have a bit of rest in between the transit times. The staff and quality of the rooms are undoubtedly impressive. They truly made our stay in Hanoi convenient and enjoyable.

This is just an echo of what other people have said but the staff here were so nice and friendly. They always wanted to help and when we arrived back early in the morning from our Sapa trip and they gave us the room for free rather than making us pay for the extra morning. This is something I've read in a lot of reviews.
The location was really good with everything close by and for a mid-range hotel it was very good value, highly recommended.
