“Great old quarter boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

This is a very comfortable place to stay in Hanoi's old quarter, the staff are friendly and helpful with most understanding at least some english. There was always someone on duty that spoke english rather well. The breakfast buffet catered to both western and asian preferences, although not extensive the selections were adequate for a good start of the day. Staff's recommendations for restaurants and sight seeing were helpful. The rate was very reasonable. We were so comfortable staying here that after touring Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang we returned for our final night in Vietnam.

Room Tip: Room 302 located in the front of the hotel overlooking the street. Has a small balcony with double p...

The Hanoi Paradise Hotel was our first stop in Hanoi so it was really comforting to have THE most helpful staff I have ever experienced - especially "Cherry". So much easier to just organise the trips through them. We were going to just walk to all the attractions - but once you see the traffic..! - get them to organise a city tour for you! Also taxi's & trips organised through the staff were always clean, safe & courteous. Ask the staff for details of good restaurants neerby - we found Nue Day & cafe 69 to be great. (the later being a bit fancier and $4 instead of $3 for a meal! - ask for the balcony table) We had the family room with balcony - small although clean, quiet, toiletries provided, water & fruit daily, stylish, computer & a nice clean bathroom. It is a very busy congested town so we were glad to only stay 2 days and then head off to the mountains. When we came back to Hanoi again we stayed at their sister Motel "Paradise 1" as they had a small indoor pool for us to relax before returning home. The rooms there were a bit bigger but a couple more streets away form the lake which seems to be the main centre. Both very nice though - wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

Room Tip: As with most motels on busy streets, sometimes the back rooms are better, but their family rooms wer...

This is a really nice little hotel in a great location. The staff are excellent especially Mr Jason who had very good advice for us and the tours that he organised to Halong Bay and around Hanoi were very good. His correspondence and customer service were fantastic and made our experience with paradise hotel very special. The hotel is spotless and very good value for money, AND breakfast had real bacon and eggs and fresh baguettes! they also provided complimentary fresh fruit in your room daily which was very welcome. Rooms were small but very nice and beds comfortable. We definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again for sure.

Room Tip: the front room on seventh floor had a very large balcony and outdoor table with great views over the...

I can only confirm what the other reviewers have said. The location is excellent as are the staff especially Daniel who went over and above his duty to resolve an outside issue we had. He is a star. My only observation would be that they need to change the 'freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice'on the menu. It is in fact plain old squash ! For a centrally located hotel in the Old Quarter I would recommend this hotel.

Good hotel in the centre of old quarter. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was included: basic but it s very nice. We didn't miss anything. Rooms are very clean and new and well maintained. Surroundings of hotel are very crowdy and noisy. You don't hear a thing in your room of all that. Safe in room included and free wifi in rooms. Even a pc with inet connection available in the room. Would stay here again for sure!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 606

My sister and my first visit to Hanoi - what a great way to start with this lovely hotel right in the heart of the Old Quarter. The rooms are quiet, clean and well appointed - great aircon and fresh fruit every day. We stayed for a week and the staff were fabulous - very friendly and accommodated our comings and goings to Halong Bay etc. Felt we were coming home to old friends everytime we returned. We found that basing ourselves in the Old Qtr meant we were really immersed the true hustle and bustle of day to day life - the amazing sights, sounds and atmosphere of this crazy city.

We stayed at the hotel for 6nites and were very pleased with service and rooms. Staying at the Family suite, we had a nice private balcony where we could chillout in the morning and the late evenings. The staff were excellent , very polite and always had genuine smiles. Jason with whom I was in contact with thru email was very professional and always helpful with our tour bookings and questions on where and what to eat. Rooms were very clean.

We also went to the SF spa at 30 Cửa Đông, Hoan Kiem District where we had massages which were heavenly. Food at New Day restaurant 72 Ma May street was very good. The prices were very reasonable if not cheap and the food succulent and tasty. The staff very friendly.
Halong bay was beautiful and we did the 2 day 1 nite cruise.
