“Good Boutique Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2012 via mobile

Overall this hotel was good and I enjoyed my stay. The massage I had at Le Royal Spa was perfect

The rooms aren't very sound proof though so you can on occasion hear a little too much of your neighbour's conversation. Also the room service food is a bit average not terrible though.

Hotel is right in the middle of the old quarter with heaps of shops and restaurants nearby. It's close to the lake and the water puppet theatre.
Rooms are very small but beautifully decorated. The only window was an internal one so no natural light but as we were only in the room to sleep that wasnt an issue.
Buffet breakfast had a wide selection of food and an egg station.
Would stay here again!

Maison d’hanoi is a nice confortable hotel. Our room was spacious enough for a hotel in a cities capital, nice design, Wifi worked well, and so on, all amenities you would expect from a hotel that Lonely Planet quotes top level are there. I understand that the fast growth of the hotel room numbers brings some concessions, so the glass bricks in our room to let the day light come in instead of a normal window were not a problem , but you cannot put this hotel in the same chapter as Hanoi’s Hilton , where I stayed before. The breakfast buffet is very nice, staff is OK so with an Agoda booking you get value for your money. Location is perfect , close to anything you would like to walk out to

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window but probably you will need an upgrade

This was our first hotel in Vietnam and we were suprised of the good standard. The room had comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Breakfast was good with delicious omelet and coffee. There was only a frosted window but this was ok since the view probably wasn´t that good.

This hotel made me feel excited. It was the first time i'd stayed in a hotel that nice and was excited to be in such a beautiful setting. I liked the fine service. But the hotel desk didn't communicate my late-checkout request to the hotel cleaners. The staff were very courteous and treated me with respect. Nice!

My boy friend and I arrived in Hanoi- our first stop in Vietnam and were pleasantly surprised with the style and service at this hotel. The staff were attentive and spoke great English, they were so friendly and efficient. The rooms are slightly smaller than we expected, but that said they were clean and tidy. The rooms do not have windows or a balcony which i think makes them seem smaller. We were happy with our location, only a short walk to the main lake and a 5 minute walk to the old quarter. Easy to see the main sights of Hanoi and get around. The breakfast was a buffet, and was tasty too.

We were 2 families and took 5 rooms. Great location near all the Old Quarter has to offer and a 2 minute walk to the lake.

Staff were always helpful pre and during our stay and didnt have any problems as reported in other reviews. Rooms are small but comfortable modern and clean.

Well positioned and priced.
