“Massive rooms, well worth the price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012 via mobile

As recommended by the lonely planet we decided to head for this hotel upon our arrival in Dalat. Although we struggled to find it at first (lonely planet map not great) we eventually found it with the help of the locals and we were extremely glad we persevered! Although little English is spoken, staff were friendly. We stayed for 4 nights paying $10 a night for a twin room. We had two double beds, tv, WiFi, balcony and aircon, and the room was massive compared to some hotels previously stayed in, and as backpackers this for us was luxury! It was a good location next to some nice restaurants and the market. We were very pleased with our clean room and stay here. Would definitely recommend this place.

“People actually like this place??”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

Customer service, smiles, helpfulness are not a quality to describe the people who work/live here. A few times during my stay I attempted to get simple help/questions answered and there just was no interest to help me. Several times when I went down to the lobby to ask something, one of the members of the family would be there and either ignore me or just look at me with no emotion.

The $8 room I was checked into was clean and had very hot water in the shower, but that's the best that can be said about it. No fridge, but internet worked fine. Bathroom was...sad. On one wall high up were 3 open glass slats for the window. Not possible to close them and in the chilly temperature it should have been. Opposite wall at the top had several long slits which, I discovered, led directly into the bathroom of the room next door. This meant I had to listen to the guys' conversations, them go to the bathroom, strange odors floating over, etc. I was woken at 6:20am on the second morning due to this. The "window" let in so much noise from the street, that both mornings I was woken up around 5am. It was impossible to close to the bathroom door all the way, so no way to solve the situation. Toilet paper was the absolute worst I've ever come upon in this country. Last night there, I found an inquisitive roach in the sink. Don't know where it came from.

As is normal, bed didn't have a top sheet, just a heavy blanket. The bottom sheet was a fancy kind of duvette or something, and I can't imagine them washing those every time. Slept in my sleeping bag.

I stayed here because of previous reviews. I don't know what hotel those people stayed in, but it wasn't this one!

Room Tip: Don't stay in Rm. 202

“Friendly, home-like feel to it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

We spent 1 night here in August 2011 and paid $9 USD for a double room with a fan, en-suite, hot shower and free wi-fi.

We had a comfy bed, cosy room, friendly home-like feel to the hotel and in a central location.

“good location, good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2012

We stayed for two weeks and paid $10 a night for a two beds room. The room in the front had a street view but is noisy due the loud music coming from the video game store inside the co-op market across the street. We switched to the back room on the third floor, looking into a small alley. It was quieter, and you can see how local people live, even smell their cooking. The room was bright, spacious, clean although a little dated, and you have your own balcony . Plenty of hot water, a good internet connection and air conditioner. The central market was a 5-10 minutes walk, and the Easy Riders' headquarter was right next door. The staff was friendly and they found a motorcycle for us to rent. The only drawback was there was no elevator, the stairs were steep and narrow and the towels looked old. We had a pleasant stay and will come back again...

Room Tip: rooms in the back are quieter
