Customer service, smiles, helpfulness are not a quality to describe the people who work/live here. A few times during my stay I attempted to get simple help/questions answered and there just was no interest to help me. Several times when I went down to the lobby to ask something, one of the members of the family would be there and either ignore me or just look at me with no emotion.
The $8 room I was checked into was clean and had very hot water in the shower, but that's the best that can be said about it. No fridge, but internet worked fine. Bathroom was...sad. On one wall high up were 3 open glass slats for the window. Not possible to close them and in the chilly temperature it should have been. Opposite wall at the top had several long slits which, I discovered, led directly into the bathroom of the room next door. This meant I had to listen to the guys' conversations, them go to the bathroom, strange odors floating over, etc. I was woken at 6:20am on the second morning due to this. The "window" let in so much noise from the street, that both mornings I was woken up around 5am. It was impossible to close to the bathroom door all the way, so no way to solve the situation. Toilet paper was the absolute worst I've ever come upon in this country. Last night there, I found an inquisitive roach in the sink. Don't know where it came from.
As is normal, bed didn't have a top sheet, just a heavy blanket. The bottom sheet was a fancy kind of duvette or something, and I can't imagine them washing those every time. Slept in my sleeping bag.
I stayed here because of previous reviews. I don't know what hotel those people stayed in, but it wasn't this one!
Room Tip: Don't stay in Rm. 202
