“Perfect Place to Stay - Dreams Hotel Dalat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2011

In April 2011 we stayed at this hotel for four night, and delighted with our experience I want to recommend it to all other travellers.
Rooms and bathrooms are well appointed and extremely clean, comfortable and quite. The owners are extremely conscious of good customer service and it is little wonder that they have many long term returning customers.
Further to this the owners take pride in the fact that they provide a delicious and very nutritious breakfast, to which there are no limits. Breakfast is served at a huge table in an attractive dining room on the first floor.
There is also four free computers and free Internet.
I would say that the service at this beautiful little hotel is second to none. The owners, a very loving husband and wife team are wonderful people who really make you feel welcome, speak perfect English and always aim to please and assist at all times. Both are a credit to the Vietnamese people.

Their staff are also wonderful folk who are obviously very happy with their employment.

Congratulations and many thanks Dreams Hotel Dalat.

Cheers, Francine and Joe - Australia

This is a gem and we were very sorry we couldn't have stayed longer ( as it was an overnight stop only).. Mrs Dung was so helpful , had booked our airport pickup, and then our onward bus tickets the following morning. Our room was huge ,loads of space for us and teenage son. Great breakfast in the morning even though we were early at 6.15am. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in July, nice, simple, clean. The breakfast is very good with lots of food, but the thing that sticks in my mind was without doubt, Mrs Dung. She was the perfect host, couldn't do enough for you. My husband was suffering from an upset tummy, she went of and bought some medication, gave it over without fuss or ado, she booked our bags onto a bus and made sure they made the trip to Nha Trang and her staff were just as devoted as she was. A very pleasant stay.

A fellow traveller recommended the Dreams Hotel Dalat to us and we caught the bus to Dalat and presented ourselves to Mrs Dung. This lady is a courteous hostess and runs a very clean friendly and economical hotel. We must be the oldest baskpackers around ( wont see 50 again)and enjoyed Mrs Dung, her Grandaughter Ruby and the family. Nothing seemed to be a problem for her and as my leg was playing up she rearranged our room number so I had less stairs to climb. She will do bookings for you if you wish and her prices are not a rip off! Yes this hotel has a legendary generous breakfast and we enjoyed topping up at breakfast on food and travel information. You will enjoy it here.

Room Tip: Room to the front is good value. Big bed and large room.

Mrs Dung is certainly a very nice elderly lady. She upgrades us for free to a much bigger room and the breakfast is, as noted, fantastic with variety of fruits, yogurt, cheese, bread and so on (though the bacon can be less salty). I can tell that Mrs Dung really strives to set the benchmark for dalat backpacker hotel. Very good value for money. Only complaint is that the hot water shower is not consistent and Dalat nights being cold, makes it pretty miserable for us. Perhaps Mrs Dung can look into this problem. We didnt kick up a fuss as we only stayed for one night. Overall, we highly recommend this backpacker hotel - they are sincere and excellence-seeking. Very nice.

Room Tip: Just ask if you can have a free room upgrade - we didnt even have to ask though

Really clean with lovely helpful staff. Not the kind who 'help' by sending you to their mates, but give genuine, honest advice.
Nothing was too much trouble. Even had super fancy steam showers and fresh roses in our room. The breakfasts were incredible!

Room Tip: Back rooms were really quiet, looked onto local houses.

Hospitality like this is a rarity in Vietnam, let alone at the great price on offer. So make sure you stop by here when in Dalat. The hotel is located in a nice area close to some good restaurants, bars and cafes, whilst only a short stroll to the town centre and markets. The hotel is quite spacious in every respect, whether it be the reception area, the breakfast room or the actual room itself. Everything is clean and appears to be quite new compared to other hotels.

The rooms were very spacious. We had a double bed in ours, a dresser, bar fridge and wardrobe. Everything was in great condition, including all electricals such as the flatscreen TV and wireless internet works well in the room. There was no air conditioner, but given the climate in Dalat, this wasn't necessary and we had a fan in case it got warm. The bathroom was surprisingly modern and new. It had a fancy shower system that had 3 different nozzles, depending on which one suited you. The toilet was a bit fancy which flushed so quietly. They had nice bathroom amenities for the guests as well. The cleaners also top up your complimentary bottles of water everyday, which is quite handy.

Breakfast is always a pleasant experience. Located in the basement, it has one large communal table where everyone sits around the impressive spread layed out on the breakfast table. It fosters conversaton amongst all the guests, which is great. No one walks away hungry from the table, where there is always plenty of fresh fruit, bread and pastries which is constantly topped up when it runs low. Eggs are cooked to your liking as well. They also provide Vegemite for Aussies who may miss it.

The hotel provides 6 PCs for guests to use for free. At the top floor of the hotel, there is a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi for guests to use for free as well. This is something quite unique to this hotel. We used all of these facilities after a long day of wandering around and touring and aided in our relaxation.

More importantly, this hotel knows how to provide hospitality to its guests. Everyone is very friendly and personable here, from Mrs Dung, right down to her her gorgeous granddaughter Cherry. We spent most of our evenings chatting with them and really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We highly recommend this to anyone who comes to Dalat.
