This hotel is situated up on a hill facing the lake and within walking distance to the markets and town centre. All rooms face the courtyard where you can sit and take in the view and enjoy the cool fresh weather. Just across the hotel by the lake sits the Blue Cafe (but decked out in purple!) which is a lovely place to have a relaxing cup of coffee....breakfast, lunch or dinner. We came here everyday as our breakfast at the hotel was not great - very simple and not a lot of choice, mainly cold Vietnamese food.
The rooms were surprisingly large, but very old, and in our case very dirty and damp - our bed linen were stained and feel we may have had a few bed bugs too....we were scratching all night!
Overall, an average hotel which needs updating and improvements on the general cleaniness of the rooms. Great location, helpful and friendly staff.
The hotel offers good tours and airport transfers. Correspondence via email was efficient and accommodating with many of our requests.
Tip: Remember to bring warm clothing to sleep. The weather at night can get very cold...especially for those whose bed is right by the windows.
