“excellent value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

This hotel was quite a walk to the main part of Dalat but we paid so little for it so were so happy when we got there to see our room was nice and spacious, no A/C but they gave us a fan which did the job. Staff were really friendly just not that good at English! Overall really nice stay here, would reccommend if you want good value for money.

Booked 2 nights here and got a great rate. Front office guy was great and trying very hard to learn English. Booked a moto with the boss over the phone (who speaks perfect English) and was told 90,000 dong for 24 hours dor an auto scooter. Got it the next day as booked, firstly it was manual after making specificly sure that he was giving us an auto (that I can get over, took only 5 mins for
an auto to arrive). On check out we had been charged 240,000 dong for 2 days as we had it overnight! The lovely receptionist called his boss so we could sort it out in English and he blamed it on the receptionist for giving us the wrong info when we had booked and spoken only with him and was making this guy pay for
it! In the end we paid half
of this extra day to help the guy out but do not believe a word his boss says! Nice hotel, shame about the boss/owner. I hate that I have to whinge about a few dollars but don't lie then blame it on your staff who are lovely!

The hotel itself was good overall. Has three rooms on each floor, we stayed in two types(twin/double) and the rooms were both clean with average size. Location is also ok, 5 mins walk to the sinh tour and 10-15mins walk to the lake and the market.
Staffs were kind but can't speak much english. The girl during the daytime can speak enough but the guy at night can't speak a single word. We had to use google translate even for very simple conversations(simple as 'water please'). Well, I'm the one who can't speak their language so I'm not complaining but it can be quite embarrassing if you try to check in or out at night.
The only thing that I didn't like was that there was a group in the hotel and it was SO noisy at night. Since there are only 3 rooms in each floor and all the rooms are basically right next to the stairs, you can always hear other guests going up and down the stairs and talking.

We stayed at the Dalat Flower hotel on Wednesday the 26th of February, 2014. Our friends got the large 3-bed room; my wife and I took the couples room down the hall. As with most rooms in Vietnam it was fairly small but clean. The shower is one of those where you shower in the corner directly next to the toilet. We slept well and left the next morning to go around Dalat.

When we returned in the evening on Thursday all of my wife and my belongings had been removed from our room and placed in our friends room. This included all of our unpacked toiletries, dirty clothes and undergarments (which were left out in the open for our friends to see), and everything else. The manager had double-booked the room without telling us and had checked someone else into our room while we were out for the day.

Naturally, my wife was livid and complained for a while. This was a serious breach of our privacy and it had been done without warning or attempt to contact us via phone. They also failed to move an item from our old room and we luckily noticed it missing before leaving. In the end the manager refused to back down and never accepted blame. Since we were only in Dalat for one more night we stayed in the hotel directly next door for a slightly higher fee. That hotel is roomier, has a better shower setup, and better aesthetics. I would recommend it but we never took down the name.

Overall I'd say the Dalat Flower is a decent hotel. It is clean and quaint. If you can confirm the room is not double-booked and don't expect other niceties it can be a ok place to stay.

Room Tip: The couples suite has a twin bed and is a condensed version of any other room; nothing special about...

I stayed at Dalat Flower hotel 3 nights. The room is designed strong type with named flower. That's great idea! My room is named rose with flowered things such as glass, blanlet, pcitures ..

The most important is that te room is very clean and good smell. Whenever you go out, the room is still cleaned and well -ordered. Especially, the owner and staff are friendly and kind. They helped me find out nice sight-seeing in Dalat and good street food, presented me nice gifts.

It's one star-hotel but service in four star hotel.

My trip is very great and meaning!

I stayed here four nights and the hotel is clean and well looked after with decent sized rooms. The two downsides are there is no soundproofing - I was on the 1st floor and could hear conversations down in reception and also other guests in the hotel - not sure which floors!

The second downside which was rather upsetting and spoilt my stay, was the owner, MT Tong, who can speak English. He was dishonest and added extra charges to my final bill, which I was totally unaware of and charged an exchange rate that was extortionate and amounted to more than the USD010 I was quoted for the room. The charges he applied related to ironing two shirts - I'd asked for an iron and they insisted that they would iron the shirts for me without telling me I would be charged for them. When I asked Mr Tong about these charges he advised that this was "Vietnamese culture" and that I should be aware fo Vietnamese culture as I was in Vietnam. His whole approach and tone was rude and upset what would have been a reasonable stay, as the amount involved was miniscule but the dishonesty used to extract it was quite upsetting.

Room Tip: Don't!
