“Noisy, impersonal”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

We arrived at this hotel after a 6am flight and were allowed to check in 3 hours early which was great. Unfortunately it all went down hill from there. The pool was closed due to a function that night. The room they put us in had doors like paper and you could hear every door close on that floor and every conversation being had in the corridor. The function started at 6.30pm and even though we were on the 5th floor it was so loud we couldn't even hear our tv. After 3 hours of loud screaming over a microphone and a complaint that was ignored we decided to move. They insisted on moving us to the 7th floor which was moderately better. On the 3rd day the pool was again closed due to a wedding which started at 11 am. This time it was loud enough to hear clearly on the 7th floor. It was still going on at 1pm when thankfully we left. We were charged $80 for two lots of laundry that weren't particularly large. If they are constantly going to have these functions and close the pool they should let people know before they check in. The staff, with the exception of the bell boys, have a general air of indifference about them. It was the highest star accomodation we stayed at in our 3 week holiday and definitely the worst.

This is a large impersonal hotel, but the rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, despite there being few guests. We were at the front of the hotel and it was a little noisy with not very good sound proofing.

We stayed here over 2 nights and at first everything was great we arrived late the first night and was meet at the front of the hotel greeted with a drink and our luggage was wisked away to our room which was beautiful and had a bed 1 size larger than king, quite nice. but everthing was very quite it is heading to the end of january so It might be a quite season for them but there seems to be noone around, we had dinnen the orchard restraunt that night in the hotel and the food was ok. the next day in the afternoon we thought we would try the bar on the 6th floor to have lunch and a drink but to only find that wing of the hotel is closed and all the lights are turned off so we had lunch in town, then we thought we would use the tennis court only to find that they dont provide racquets you need to bring your own???? so we thought we would go for a swim and lay by there so called "heated pool" which is definently not heated and only to find that there is only 5 pool lounges for a 7 story hotel which is very quite at the moment i still ended up laying on m towel on the concrete floor. sorry but for a 4 star hotel I expect more.

I unfortunately got sick whilst staying in Dalat and being a diabetic required a visit to the hospital and then to see a GP separately, the hotel allowed 1 of their senior employees to accompany me on both occasions which was a tremendous help with translations and direction. Minh was an absolute Godsend and very caring, checking on me all the time. I will be indebted to them for a long time. I informed & thanked one of the managers as I really wanted to express my gratitude to them. The hotel gave us a free trip back to the airport as they were picking up more guests. I recommend a stay at the hotel.

Room Tip: A Great place to stay but lots of activities like large meetings and weddings which makes for a busy...

The location is ok......the facilities while dated are actually quite good (except the paucity og gym equipment)....the service is hit and miss. Due to the value for money this hotel offered I stayed in a suite and it was well worth it....the only down side was that the extractor did not work so there is a pervading dank smell to the hotel rooms. The restaurant service was abysmal....1 1/2 hrs for food in an empty restaurant.....but yet room service was fantastic. The pool is wonderful....except that as in other reviews it does seem to be in use for functions much of the time.

Room Tip: Go for a suite. at their prices, definitely worth it.

A very large room beautifully equipped. Stayed one night as part of a tour. A very nice bar but apart from our tour group there was no one else there. Although there was a buffet breakfast it was not as appealing as it might have been. It just felt a little like no one was interested. However, from sign above the main entrance it did appear that they were preparing for a very large event - perhaps they were concentrating on that rather than the people who were just there for one night.

Booked a 6-nights deluxe doubleand was upgraded to a junior suite, 55sqm, and commanding a great panaromic view of the city.

Very impressed with the quality of services accorded here. Within walking distance to most of the scenic places and the lake.

Nice clear blue sky and clear ecological climate. Temperature ranging from 20 in the day to around 10 at night.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the lake
