“Wow!!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Breakfast was always satisfying.......We enjoyed the Lasagna for dinner as much but the chicken nugget was pretty good. Service was excellent, great live music and the staffs were really cheery and made up for whatever was lacking for the dining experience. This is great place for a non-smoking establishment, by the way.

if you come to dalat, please notice this place to visit. This small restaurant has great food, great service, and live music every night is wonderful. I always stop here every time I go to dalat and I will stop for the next time for sure.

“If you like loud music and lots of booze this is your place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Having had a very late and rather big lunch, we just fancied a dessert and a couple of drinks the evening we visited the V cafe, which was very close to our hotel as described as being good for desserts in Tripadvisor. It's a popular place, and although there were a couple of empty tables on the outdoor terrace, we were told these were reserved, and were ushered to a small table inside.
I was glad we'd only come for dessert, because the menu is mainly Western (including some Italian and Mexican options), and very little Vietnamese food. The choice of desserts was smaller than expected and less interesting than I had hoped. We chose a coconut pie which was quite nice, and a slice of carrot cake which was promised with whipped cream - big disappointment: the cake was quite dry,and the whipped cream consisted of three pea sized squirts. To cheer me up, my partner ordered a Banana Split. When it arrived, it was recognisable as a Banana split, but very ordinary. Being in Dalat, I decided to try the local Dalat red wine which was reasonably priced, and was mediocre, but that's not the restaurant's fault.
After we had sat inside for quite a while, and the outside tables were still empty, we were allowed to sit outside - quite a relief, as ,although the music was not bad, it was also exceedingly loud, and unfortunately I am very sensitive to noise. The customers inside the restaurant seem to be party types, good on them, whereas, if you want a conversation, you are better off outside - if you are allowed to sit there!
Service was a bit aloof and slow, but not unpleasant. We had to wait quite a long time to pay our bill.

“Great Night Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

The V Cafe is the perfect place to chill out after a long day of sightseeing in beautiful Dalat. The food hits the spot and the staff are friendly. The live music is a nice touch and as the evening progressed the drinks kept flowing and fun was had by all. You gotta go here if you're in Dalat.
