Hotel lovely, central and surrounding greenery was expertly looked after.
Pool: great but they need more sun loungers for busy periods (and more pool towels).
Rooms: fantastic with huge bathroom - but air conditioning was dodgy, it kept on blowing the fuse and our electric went off 3 times throughout the holiday.
Food: breakfast was lovely (we were b&b) but we tried the evening meal once which was expensive (and the drink), and because it was so cheap to eat out we never ate there again.
Beach: FANTASTIC! just literally down the road.

Overall it was a pleasant stay with a few hiccups, nothing major.

PS one restuarant that is definatly worth a visit is Mom Tri Boathouse, get a taxi there but you will have to book - it's to die for!!!!

We arrived expecting paradise and its not upon arrival it looks nice we had a deluxe room which is the Lagoon Area, you over look the pool where most of the children are so can be noisey. The rooms are not deluxe the furniture is very old and the approach to the rooms the stairs are dirty. We had many times where people had left room service out and the plates had been left for 24 hrs thus attracting animals.

If you are planning a visit enquire about the rooms in the Tropix area only you have a better pool and people around the pool were saying they were more modern. Other guests that were in the main building had complaints also. The resort area is ok depends what you want I would not really say its a family place with the girls (thai) out looking for the men. None of the bars around are air cond so it can get very hot.

The staff are not very customer caring in the mornings at breakfast you had to keep asking for coffee and they are not very quick at clearning your plates away. If you have any complaints the reception staff suddently cannot speak english. We would not return and not recommend anyone to go.

my hubby & i returned a week ago from the Honeymoon suites for 4D3N.The hotel surroundings were absolutely serene. The streets were not cluttered with tourists/people/vehicles.

Upon arrival, we were cordially served with pineapply juice & refreshing towels. Registration was done quickly. Staff were friendly. the honeymoon suite was pleasant. there was a walk in wardrobe, a bathtub, 2 balcony (1 with the spa pool, the other without), king size bed beautifully decorated, a sitting area with a coffee table & 2 small sofa and a little bar area. I would say everything we saw was exactly what we read abt on tripadvisor reveiwed by others & we are very pleased. We were briefly brief by the staff of the facilities in the resort & how to go to karon beach.

However, as we were gettin ready, the tap water is yellowish! we tried the bathtub tap & flushing the towel bowl, its all yellowish. we let it run a little while to see if there's any change but there isnt. I guess we were very easy going tourists because we didnt go to the staff for the change of room or question them why. We assume its probably the rusting of pipes. We couldnt get the spa pool working despite following instructions but we didnt get help because we were so tired from the day.

Then again, something cropped up. We had 3 blackouts (once on the 2nd day & then twice on the 3rd day). We received help quickly though when we called them.

Breakfast buffet was almost the same fare except for chinese menu which was different those days that we were there. going to karon beach is merely a 5mins walk - but its literally walking out of the hotel to get there, which means you gonna cross a road to reach there.

Eateries were plentiful. every soi you can find something of your liking.

there was taxi service within the hotel. our travelling were basicially by them & they helped us booked our ATV tour & Phi Phi island trip. very friendly people!

generally it was a good stay however, it can be further improved.

My new hubby stayed at the centar Karon for out honeymoon and it was such a wonderful hotel! we didn't have a single problem, we where treated so well! we stayed in the pool cabanas which is well worth the extra money. Great hotel we would definatly stay there again!
