It is important to note that hotel suffers from the construction of new Grand Hyatt hotel just on the left, and view is not so pretty.

Beach is not swimmable and at low tide there isn't even a beach! The water just goes away leaving a huge stretch of wet sand and all you can see is construction on your left.

Hotel location is secluded, one hour away by taxi to Patong beach and 40 minutes away from Phuket city. If it happens to rain while you are on holiday to Arahmas hotel you practically have nothing to do and that includes hotel rooms TV program which is very limited. Also, hotel will not provide free shuttle bus unless you pay and minimum 4 people to go anywhere. Arahmas is no where near five star hotel, most I can give is just four star and hotel grated 5 star them-self, hotel staff was nice.

“Terrible site and tips for enjoying your stay”

Adamas Resort & Spa, Phuket

As written previously, this hotel suffers from the construction of the new Hyatt Regency (not Hilton) just besides. This construction is noisy all day (fortunately not at night) and particularly ugly for the view (10 storeys, right into the sea with no beach). How can the Thailand authorities could have accepted the spoilage of a so beautiful location ?

Because the location is one of the best on Phuket island : secluded, nature, deserted, not too many people. Even the airport nearby has not been a problem and the planes were relatively quiet compared to the Hyatt. At Arahmas, staff was very nice and friendly, especially in order to arrange the very best suite available in the hotel : ask the ones right at the end of the aisles (not the one close to the reception). The view on the bay is superb with big verandas.

Cooking chief is swiss and its western cuisine is very creative, tasty and unexpensive for its quality. Even if, like me, you are crazy of Thai cuisine, you should try its risotto or duck breast with mango shutney or its mango sabayon. A dream for a French like me.

The nearby hideous Hyatt should be finished by mid 2008 (it was scheduled to open by the end of 2006). So wait until the construction is finished in order to take benefit of this peaceful place (and try not to look at the building then).

“Totally Loved it”

Adamas Resort & Spa, Phuket

We have just returned from a weekend getaway at the Arahmas Resort and Spa in Phuket. The hotel is magnificent, secluded and luxurious. We have never experienced such incredible service before. Breakfast is a lovely, nice continental and Thai spread with cheeses fruit pastries etc.
We stayed in the room with direct access to swimming pool and it was lovely. Oh oh, did I mention restaurant there was great too? Food was excellent.
We were told The Spa is good but we didn't get a chance to experience that though. .
Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in on holiday, thanks to good services provided by staff there. Perhaps not the most convenient in terms of location, but if you are looking for a real getaway, then this is an absolute must.

Loved the Arahmas!! What a wonderful and styish place hidden away from the typical Phuket scene. The room, pool and general style of the resort was amazing, especially the room, which to me is the most important part -- plush thai style, with gorgeous silk and dark woods decor.

Food was very very nice here, dinner we had at Ambrosia was the best meal we had on our whole trip. And if you stay here please do not miss the spa, you will not be disappointed!

Can't wait to go back. We miss the Arahmas already!

We stayed at Arahmas at the end of March 07 and loved every minute of it. The lobby area had a beautiful view of Naiyang bay and it had water ponds all around the waiting area which felt very serene.

We were even more amazed by the room which was the most gorgeous we've seen anywhere and was also very spacious. The bathroom was stunning, and you can watch TV or dvd even while you're taking a bath in the unique looking bathtub.

The resort is quiet, so it is ideal for people who want to relax in a beautiful setting. Don't expect nightlife, bars and restaurants around the area. (We weren't, and this is the best place if that's the case, as this is by far our favourite hide-away resort we've been to in Thailand.)

The spa was absolutely wonderful, we went back for the second time and loved everything about it. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a classy retreat away from the bustling noisy tourist's area of Phuket.
