Been here March 13, 2013 with my family (wife and 2 kids aged 3 and 6)
Go to the Holiday Inn (not Holiday Inn Express) its in the opposite road, can"t miss it.
Unfortunately the small road is under construction, but it was dry when we went. Warm greeting and the Kids were immediately looked after. Babychair was put without asking for it.
The Thai food is good. They make soups and curries in a way that even the Kids could taste them, because we asked for "not spicy" and for once got not spicy.
They have a very good cheseburger with chips (=french fries in the states) and Heinz Tomatoketchup. Yep, the one you can not get out of the bottle, but maybe the only one worth shaking the bottle and stick knibes into just to get the stuff out.
Quiet (well at least until we pitched up with the kids).
The lights are awefull neonlights, but besides that its very good for the prices we paid. Here a comparison to other restaurant and their saison prices at the moment
Shakes( all freshly made) 50 vs 180
Soups 120 vs 180 (chicken. Prwns is more expensive)
Cheeseburger with chips 100 vs 240 ( even saw them at 410)
Changbeer small 60
So if you are hungry, want good portiones at a very good price, this was the best price/value restaurant we found. (And we looked at about 30 menues and ate at 13 Restaurants so far)
Do not want to go to the toilet, it is about 200m away.
Once there, turn first right after the Restaurant. Many shops, the same you gett all over, but here you are almost alone and get a lot better prices than at the beachfront or Mainroad. No cars allowed neither which adds to tranquility
