The crew was OK! They did their job well, but:
The daytrip to Phi Phi and sorrounding was terrible. Wanted it to be finished from the first hour.
The speedboat (big as f.. with about 100 passengers and 5x225hp outboard engines) was crowdy, and with no view at all. We had to sit on rows like animals on a truck.
When finally arriving to the beautiful "The Beach"-beach, we got half an hour on shore, together with thousands of others. You could almost not see the water in front of the beachline at all. Sad to see such a beautiful place invaded, but thats the way the cookie crumbles, not the company's fault. Then we had to wait in the hot boat for passengers not coming on time before going to the Viking caves - going to? Sorry, no, we passed them while the chief shouted about them through a loudspeaker, and you could see them through the blury narrow windows of the boat if you raised up, together with the other 100 ani..I mean people, on the boat. Took us 5 minuts to pass Them.
Then we went to "the beautiful corals" snorkeling. Because of the queue out and into the boat, you got about 15 minutes in water. But the 15 minutes in water we had a great time. You got to feed some small aquarium fishes with bananas and bread. The corals were not beautiful at all, just some brown rocks with sharp details.
After that we had about 40 minutes to eat lunch from a buffet together with hundreds of other boat-tourists. Ok food. Nothing special about the place nor beach.
Then we went past the monkey beach, with no monkeys - not the companys fault, but boring anyway.
After that we had 50 minutes on a small island closer to Phuket. Nice place, but to crouded, like everywhere else. Lots of salesmen offering drinks every 5 minute, and muddy water.
Then another long trip back to mainland. Shuttle-service to the hotel worked fine.
All in all we did something this day for less than 2 hours, the rest of the time was spent on the boat or in queue, where you could not see anything spectacular at all.
If you want to experience the Phi Phi and sorroundings, you should go for a company with smaller boats. On the Anda Varee boat you will see nothing, and feel like a sheep in a hinge.
