“Understated Beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

If you are looking to get away from the overcrowded and overrated beaches of Patong, then Surin Beach is the beach for you! Surin Beach is a quiet, understated, serene with stunning white sand beach.

“Laid back beach in Phuket Island”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We visited and passed this beach many times during our visit in Phuket , it was located north of Patong Beach ,between the Kamala and Bang Tao beach. We arrived here by our rented car ( we recommend you to rent a bike or car ,its easier to go sightseeing).Phuket is a small island ,but not that small, if you intend to walk by foot. This beach was quite clean when we arrived , not too many tourists as we can see in Patong beach.Rented beach chairs and beds with colorful umbrellas are available for rent. We can see some swimmers and sunbathing people along the nice white sandy beach.Coconut , delicious satay of pork ,and chicken also some sliced fruit vendor are available.Definitely a nice beach to visit

“Fun people watching --- plenty of waves”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Traveling from Krabi and having been to Patong, this is definitely a smaller beach than what we've seen. August is low-season and the beach and beachfront businesses definitely looked like they were prepping for the upcoming season given how much construction and rebuilding was going on. There were lots of empty store fronts and deserted dining verandas. Tourists were scarce, and mostly located on one-end of the beach with the fancier beach clubs.

Why a 4-star? It was fun to rent a chair on the beach and people-watch, the waves kept most people out of the water but it was gorgeous to watch. Plenty of small vendors for fresh coconuts and grilled meats-on-sticks. Definitely a lower-key beach, but the area of Surin Beach felt a lot more laid-back with its blend of locals and boutique shops than the likes of Patong.

“stunning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Get away from all the noise of more popular beaches, this beach is very clean not to many vendors, makes for a very pleasant and relaxing day, also very easy for parking right next to the beach which makes it easy for large familys ,especially when you have left somthing in the car!!
