“Clean, comfortable and well located”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

I stayed here for just under two weeks at the end of March. First impressions were great, the reception area is smart and stylish in a old world kind of way. The staff are all friendly, approchable and helpful.

I stayed in a double room, which was clean and comfortable and had a balcony over lookign the front of the hotel and pool area. Some of the furniture has seen better days but this did not affect my stay in anyway. The bath room is basic but again clean and functional. The bed was huge and very comfortable.

The pool and surrounding area is great, we spent a couple of days based around here which was lovely. They do sell drinks here but it's much cheaper to pop to the seven eleven which is next door to the hotel.

Lastly the location of this hotel is excellent, everything is easily accessible and there are a number of great bars and restaurants nearby.

We stayed here dec-jan of this year... room was cleaned to an average standard.. breakfast was only catered for Russias, chinese and japanese no choice for English.. Staff not pleasant as they used too be and poolside beds are been taking with outsiders putting there towels on beds then go off shopping leaving there towels on beds... staff do nothing about this so fewer beds for people staying at hotel.

3rd stay here and though hotel is ideally situated, fairly clean and good sized rooms, spoke with others in the town and they all seemed to have what I had, but got their accomodations a lot cheaper!. I Was on 6th floor in one bedroom suite with the other half, 2 excellent air-cons, one in each room, safety box, T.V and DVD player, pool side view so you do get sun most of day, and rooms cleaned/towels changed every day. The water pressure though is a joke. Water trickled out of shower, and 45 minutes if you had to run a bath bearing in mind there was two of us, would take us nearly 3 hours to get ready to go out!. Also what is perceived as a family hotel, lots of working girls from the bars in/out each day. Did also have one selfish idiot across corridor from us playing music very loud and fighting with his Thai girlfriend regularly One morning (6am) was out fighting with her at the poolside and appeared to be trying to drown her!. Hotel just turned a blind eye. A new thing that wasn't there on my last visit is the system of sun worshippers running down to reserve their sunbed with the towels. This is the daily cabaret watching the bed wars from the balcony. Seems this hotel also allows people who are not staying in it use the pool facilities, so maybe this reason for reserving them However, place crawling with Russians so even if you reserve your bed, good chance one of these 'comrades' will move it anyway (even the Germans respected your claim to a bed via towel). Happened to the other half twice. Speaking of Russians, they don't like to spend much in the bars apparently, so they will be at the 7/11 shop outside the hotel for cheap drink then invade the hotel foyer seats and swimming pool area when it's closed and have a party to themselves! Though this hotel not unique to this seems to be their way.

As a returning visitor to this hotel, I was delighted to see that the already good service has improved to excellent.

From arrival, I was greeted as a friend and my already allocated room was provided to me. They had upgraded me to a larger room with a kitchen, which was nice but I never used the kitchen.

I read some comments about this hotel not being suitable for families, but I do not agree - just understand that this hotel is not located on the beach - it is not a resort hotel. However, I see and know many families who really enjoy their stay here. If you are visiting Pattaya and want to shield your children from what you may consider the seedier side, then head to a resort hotel in Jontimen.

My room was large and contained everything I needed, good air-con, good TV, small but usuable balcony, a functional and clean bath room (ok not the latest design, but hey I don;t need that). It also contains a fullsize fridge which is topped up with 2 bottles of water every day. There is a 7-11 just outside the hotel for purchase of other drinks and food stuff to fill the fridge, so no surprising minibar bills here.

I am not a breakfast person, so only used this included facility a couple of times - it remains a good choice - however if you are after a full English Breakfast cooked English style, rather than complain to the staff, just walk outdoors to any of the cafes that will provide you with all you need for a couple of pounds.

What I really want to comment on was the cleaning staff who would greet me happily in the corridor each day and want to know how I was and what I would do - touching. They performed their cleaning duties immpeciably and always when I was out of the hotel - no knocking on the door at 8am here! They are also very trustworthy - whilst I would never recommend leaving valuables out in any hotel, I did forget to put my cash in my pocket on a couple of occassions and returned to the hotel to a clean room and everything in place.

The location of this hotel is perfect for me, with my local bars nearby and an easy walking or taxibus journey to beach road etc.

LK is a great hotel group, however we have to remember that it is Asia, so please employ your Asian brain when staying here. In fact a good recommendation for Thailand is get to understand the Thai style - it is different to western style and we are the guests in their country, so understand that shouting and complaining is not the way, learn to greet and thank people and you will have a fab time.

Room Tip: Never had a problem, evenb with front facing rooms. Never got noise from other rooms.

I booked a standard room in December and found the hot water vanishing half way through a bath. When I increased the hot water level to get back the desired temperature, it suddenly becomes boiling hot after a while. There was no consistency of the hot water in the shower during my stay of 4 days. Apart from that the water didn't drain from the bathtub and had to be attended. The wash basin water outlet too had problems. The room telephone didn't work for local calls. I wouldn't come back to this hotel

all other hotels were sold out, took a family of 5 with 2 rooms. construction going on at site, pool was small but very clean. called the desk and asked for an iron and was shocked at how fast it came. pattaya is definitely not a place for a family outing. lots of girl bars and boy bars. plenty of food in the area with easy accessibility to the beach, was only a short tuk tuk ride away. all in all it exceeded my expectations,
