Stayed for the second year running, 3 weeks this time. On the negative side - had to move into 3 different suits, 1st the hotel double booked room (7th floor right side), 2nd far too noisey (left hand section, as you look at the hotel), 3rd OK but still too much noise (6th floor right hand side). Pool out for 3 days due to too much chloride in water. On the positive side - Staff very friendly, manager, Tong, very helpful but got the impression he had to "firefight" at lot of problems.

I would recommend this hotel for singles and the deaf, maybe young couples, but it is in the heart of the city, so very noisy 10pm until 1:30 am. Try to stay high up and to the right hand side as you look at the hotel. Good value at the heavy discounted price of 2700 BHT per night, but would no way pay 4500 (full rate).

i stayed at this property for 4 days and simply have no words by which i can criticize them.
Its a fantastic property relatively new , with all the ameneties a traveller can require available here.
The location is excellent with all the major attractions within a 10 min walk.
The rooms are fabulous and very clean although one night i found a big cockroach lurking in the bathrooms but that was the only off incidence as faras rooms are concerned throughout my whole stay.The size is spacious and the bathrooms is also fairly big with a bathtub jacuzzi.
The staff is very helpful and courteous,no complaint watsoever on that front.
The pool is located on the third floor and is quite small, so if u r a pool lover u may be disappointed,but its big enough for some fun n frolic.
The major issue with the stay here was the noise which easily enters your sleeping domain from across the road bars which plays loud music till the wee hours.And this was when i was on the 7 floor.So families with small children should avoid this considring also the the "proximity to the singles" party area across the street. .

All in all a perfect stay and value for money.

I stayed in the LK Renaissance for four nights in May 2008 after spending 8 nights in New Delhi.

The hotel has limited facilities, but the rooms are a good size, well equipped, staff are good, and the location is not too bad, although a little noisy late at night from some of the “beer bars” across the road. For many this will not be a problem and nothing more than you should expect from a hotel in this type of location (in the city).

I understand the hotel is quite new, so I was surprised to find that my room did have a “cockroach” problem and 1 or 2 electric sockets already hanging off the wall. But after New Delhi this was not a problem for me, and I still felt the room was good value for money. Perhaps more suited to the seasoned Thailand traveller, looking to spend a little more than budget prices.

The place is fantastic, still had some work taking place but not a problem. Rooms were very big, I had one with kitchen,large fridge/freezer,microwave oven,etc,3 balconys, 2 large tvs,music cd system, huge shower and jacuzzi. (Only bcoz it was half price as the hotel was not finished then).Great location too.Highly recommend it to all.Got a small pool,but big enough to put urself in for a few lengths!!!
