“Tropical drive through”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

This open zoo is great value, set in the tropical paradise of which you drive through your hired golf buggy stopping off to view the animals along the way. My 6 year old loved this park

“My Holiday in Pattaya staying again at the same place-- Siam Bayshore.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

I like the way you can buy Vegetables & Fruit at the Zoo to feed some of the animals yourself.
I was also very impressed with the way the Zoo is set out, it was enjoyable stroll around.
The only complaint was-- when we gathered and sat down and watched a Show inside an enclosure, very poor, dragged out, better off staying outside waking around.

“An enjoyable day out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Visited the zoo with Thai family, so was aware of the differentiation between Thai and Tourist prices. This was also in the eating, one could eat cheaply with the Thais if you knew what to ask for. We took the little train round which was good. It stopped at most exhibits, though the commentary was all in Thai. There was English on the signage. It was good to see the animals up close and in the "jungle" style setting. The Tiger Show was a bit disappointing.

“OK kind of Zoo .... not very excited. Yes, its a open zoo, which we liked”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

We planned zoon when we returned from Pattaya to Bangkok.
We started at 9:30 AM and reached zoo around 11 AM. Left zoo around 4 PM.

It is indeed different from what we have seen in India. Its a open zoo, where animals are kept in natural habitat.

The jungle show was a bore, the animals were tired; we were feeling pity for the tigers who were apparently forced in to the show.

Bird aviary was good. Nice waterfall and tree house.

Elephant and giraffe was fun.
Gorilla was hardly seen anywhere.
Butterfly area was just arid. Not a single noted.
Most animals were tiled like us, and rested under shade inside their den, very obvious in hot Thailand summer.

Best part of the zoo was the under water aquarium with sea seals swimming around. Its a miniature of what you may see in Siam Ocean World, Bangkok.

Inside the zoo, do not think of viewing all by walking. Its a big zoo, so either arrange for private car/bus or hire a golf car. The golf car rate was costly. 300 Bht per hour. And zoo entrance ticket was indeed very costly 500 Bht. I do not find the price justifies what is in there.

We spent around 4 to 5 hours.

Kids like the zoo. Adults were tired.
