“Not as good as portrayed”

The hotel is satisfactory, its location is good. We stayed as part of a timeshare with Absolute, a Thai based company. We had nothing but trouble with the company and I would keep well away from them. The hotel needs maintenance done and we had some issues with our room. The staff were compliant but not overly friendly. If you are after nothing too flash, it will be fine.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor which was fine. Lift only holds 2 couples comfortably. Luckily it was a qui...

First, the pool was beautiful, when you walk in it is right in front of you. Bright blue with greenery all around. Yet, the hot tub to the side was never warm, sandy, and had broken tiles. Location is good, as it is in the middle of north and south pattaya. We have a timeshare and to book this place used many points, expecting a tropical getaway. Unfortunately, the rooms were a bit dirty with older furniture (e.g the couch). I personally loved the view which overlooked Pattaya and a little street bustling with real culture. The two resturants beside the hotel, Mana Hari and Manhattans, we're lovely and the people wonderful! The biggest downfall was the front desk people: My mother went down to set up a taxi to the elephant village and they called one, not telling her the place sends a FREE bus to pick us up. When we found out, we tried to cancel the taxi but were told we had to pay a 300 baht charge for canceling even though we had only requested the taxi ten minutes prior. When confronted about this, the front desk stated we had to book the elephant village tour through them to get the free transport service. angry, my mother paid the 300 baht charge which the man slid into his drawer. Sketchy... I am not usually one to complain but I would not recommend this for the price. There are many beautiful hotels for CHEAP around here! Keep looking.

Nirvana Place is a wonderful place to stay should you be in Pattaya. It is central to Pattaya south, central and north, however you would be best to hire a mototbike while in Pattaya as this city is rather large. Bike rental is between 200 and 300 baht per day.

Nirvana Place has two very good restaurants, Mata Hari and Manhattans Steakhouse a nice pool setting and overall a property you can recommend.

We stayed here for a week from 3rd march 2012, it was great, 2 brm apartment, large rooms, ensuite, everything was good, no hassles, no bugs, clean, rooms done daily, comp water in fridge daily, kitchen, air cond x3, and on a main drag, easy to get around, out the door and jump in a sontel, their quick taxis, cheap travel. we loved it and would go back definately. Bad point was beds are like sleeping on a board, But they are like that in all the hotels, thats how they like them, We slept on top of the duvet from the spare bed. NB taxi took over an hour to find the place, you must tell the taxi it is by Manhattan restaurant, and Mata Hari restaurant, they seem to know where they are, they are part of it, bit expensive but convenient and nice.

hotel was quite ok and cleaning ladies were nice.
laundry was cheating because cleaning ladies washed your laundry in half price of the hotels.
beds were good, no chairs in balcony.
rooms were silent, no noise from the street.
Swimming pool is VERY small.
when we left, they charged us from minibar, wich we didnt use at all, not only once but TWICE!!!
we payed because we were in the hurry to the airport, and that is the reason why its easy for them to charge you too much because when you are checking out you dont have time to argue.
and the town pattaya is not a pretty place.

We stayed here for a week in May. It is a timeshare Hotel, and we needed to use up a week in Thailand so we chose this as it is advertised as a 5 star.
We had a lovely two bedroom, fully self contained unit. The master bedroom was huge with the ensuite having a bath in it. The other bathroom was also roomy with a nice shower cubicle.
The lounge, dining and kitchen were all in one and was also a reasonable size. TV's in each room and all cutlery and crockery provided. The unit was cleaned each day and fresh towels placed which was a nice touch.
The pool area was in the middle of the atrium style, small but OK if you want to cool down.
You need to ask to use the internet but they provided me with free access.
It was nice to come back after a hectic time in and around Pattaya to relax in the cool and put your feet up. We chose to rent a motorbike to get around and there was a rental place within walking distance just down the road.
The hotel has two very nice up market restuarants. A bit more pricey than down the road but it was nice to be pampered.
There are cafe's and restuarants within walking distance around the hotel, but if you are wanting action then I would suggest a closer place to Pattaya beach.
Overall a very nice, clean place to stay. I would suggest it more of a 4 star than 5, however we could not complain about the service or accommodations.
