This was the first hotel booked for us as part of a group on tour and it really was awful. I would never wish this hotel on anyone.

From the miserable interior of the lobby, to the basic rooms with plenty of cockroaches all over, to the sad bathrooms, to the awful breakfast buffet, everything about this hotel was bad!

The hotel's clearly got an audience - tour groups and sex tourists - which I won't comment on, but I will say that it was fantastic being in a hotel that provides a safe deposit box at reception if you sign and pay for a new lock to ensure any theft is not the hotels fault.

The only saving grace was the pool...and that I got to keep the lock:)

I have visited this hotel quite a few times over the last 10 years, it has a few things going for it.The first one been that it is in the centre of the city with easy access to the beach. Only a 10 bht bus ride to Jomentain beach. Breakfast is served very early so pop around to casa pascale and get a fantasic breakfast for only 171 bht plus 7% vat until 2.00 pm. The room has all the essentials fridge TV with limited english channels and the tv's are a little dated . The hotel is very clean all the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, there is a large pool that remains empty for much of the day safe for kids with bar and food service available. The bath room has a shower over the bath,a vanity sink set in marble and a standard toilet. My advice is put a towel on the bottom of the bath it is very hard to stand when wet. The red mat out side the bath is a good idea when getting out of the bath marble floors and water do not mix. My other advice for the bathroom when you have children staying the water temperture changes by the smallest touch of the control and can get hot in seconds. The bathroom has a very good hairdryer and shaving point and plenty of soaps, shower and bath gels.
The room I had was furnished with a king size bed, some have twin beds, there was a super huge wardrobe but only five hangers in mine. The room is carpeted, with a dressing table, two chairs and a small coffee table. A small balcony looked over in my case the pool and the sea depending which way I turned. The air conditioning was five star so much so I had to turn it down at night it was so cold. The only problem was the room it was not sound proved the trafic at night was a little noisey.
The staff were helpful the bell boy delivered and collected the luggage, the security said hello and goodnight both inside and outside trhe Hotel. The staff behind the desk were available 24/7 it did depend some nights how good the english was but with a little patience you can understand each other. The reception is atrium style and thai style in teak. Beware of the mosquito's rampaging around the trees in reception the bar is a better bet. The addition of a computer area next to the bar get a password from reception and a prepaid card it will save a fortune against web cafe.
All in all a good stay it has improved over the last two years a good laundry across the road to the right has express service,(one day) is cheap and saves a lot of work when you get home.

Room Tip: Join the snooker club get a discount on the room pays for itself on a one week stay.

This is a good tourist Hotel. It has many Tour Groups coming through from Vietnam, Arabia, and, last year, Russia. Thais also stay here, as well as the occasional sex tourist.

It's professionally run and always (mostly) clean and comfortable.

Yes..... your first day in pattaya... bell bus van dropped us in hotel,
the staffs wr welcoming and courtious, they alotted us a room in the 10th floor, the room was spacious and neat, nice and good toilet, the view from balcony was good but the balcony was small. we spotted one small cockroach on the bed hood and the bell boy was quick to remove it.

we wr 2 adult + 1 kid (2yr 6 months)..we stayed there for 3 nights. breakfast was not bad either,.. House keeping was prompt.

Location wise its the best hotel, walking street is at a walkable distance.

The reception is well equipt with all local travel/tour/show arrangements.

we loved the way they greated our son every time we went to desk for the room key.

Next time in pattaya... oh ya ... we gonna stay there again......

The price is right and the rooms are good.
The Royal Palace sits back off of 2nd road. It is just far enough back to be away from the crowd but still close enough to walk anywhere you want to go. I stayed on the 11th floor and had a great view of all the night life. On one side of the hotel you have the swimming pool and on the other you have a great Thai restaurant that has a show each night. Across 2nd road from the hotel is the Royal Garden Mall so you have both shopping and Restaurants. You are within a five minute walk of the Walking Street area.
With all the good things that I can say about this hotel the best part is the staff. In the short time of only 3 days I felt that I was family. Each person in the staff seemed to make it their mission to find out the little things that I like and provide them for me. I travel to Thailand a lot and I will make sure that this is the place I will stay each time I go to Pattaya.

I know there have been some people who have complained about this hotel but my husband and I stay here all the time and have never had a problem. The receptionists are always polite and courteous and beautifully dressed, the doorman is always at attendance and we always have a private giggle at the little sidekick the evening elevator man gives us when we get back to our hotel! The rooms are always up to par, clean tidy and neat. The view is not the best but a majority of hotels that are back form the beach have most of their rooms facing over the city which is dirty somewhat and so most of their views will be the same. We do skip all meals at the restaurant though as it is so much cheaper and tastier from street vendors and the many restaurants. For the overall price per night you pay, this place is damn good value and I ask those that have problems to compare a hotel in their own city of residence which is an equal dollar for dollar cost and see what they come up with. Will return again and again.

Room Tip: You can always ask for an upgrade but the best tip, be courteous and smile. You catch more flies wit...
