I travelled to Hotel Mercure in the month of May 2008. It was a very pleasant experience.
I was travelling along with my wife, it was our honeymoon trip.
We reached the hotel quite early around 10am, but our check-in time was 12.0 Though we reached early we were treated in a very friendly manner with our luggages being kept properly. We went around the hotel and found a nice big swimming pool, spa and massage parlour in the center of the hotel. Further we were getting complemetary breakfast with our package trip. We really liked the american style breakfast.
One good thing about Hotel Mercure was that they even had a small golf cart kind of cars to pick up and drop us from the main road every fifteen minutes. This service was absolutely free.
Next if we talk about our hotel room. It was a very bright, cosy and comfortable. As soon as we entered the room we found everything to be nicely arranged, with a mini fridge, locker, tv, dining table and a nice side-table. The rooms were made in such a way that it was facing the swimming pool. Even the bathroom was very neatly arranged, seemed to be of italian style. Loved the shower and the inspiration pot ( :-) , toilet seat) in the bathroom. Even the wash basins were big and nice.
The other facilities which we utilized in the hotel was the Travel desk. It helped us plan our site-seeing in Pattaya. They even had some games facilities but we didnt bother to check that. We just utilized the Swimming pool and travel desk facility of the hotel as most of time we were busy doing site-seeing, enjoying the water-sports in Pattaya.

Nice enough hotel. Rooms a little small, though always clean. We had a corner suite, and although the word suite was a little misleading, the corner location was nice for a pool view. Pool area nice with enough sunbeds to go round. Bar and restaurant nice also, with some happy hour deals most days of the week. A good point to note is that the bar & restaurant prices are quoted net - so none of the '++' surprises you get on many hotel bills.
The shuttle bus service is brilliant. You never need to wait more than a few minutes whatever time of the day or night you need it. It picks up / drops off adjacent to 2nd Road, which makes the location very good as it is near the Royal Plaza (for shopping or the excellent food court upstairs), as well as Walking Street for the evenings entertainment.

Stayed at the Mercure for 3 days. Had a great stay very nice, very clean. Very reasonably priced. Pool is gorgeous. Am staying there again in August because I love it so much very relaxing.

If you are looking to stay somewhere in Pattaya which is comfortable, clean, within easy reach of all local ammenities and provides top quality service at a very reasonable price, look no further than the Mercure. Its entire staff seem to work as hard as they can to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible.
I used to stay for many years at the Hard Rock and Marriot - but since finding the Mercure, I have not stayed anywhere else - The service is better, the hotel nicer and quite frankly, why should I pay more for less?
The Mercure has a Nice Pool, Nice Rooms, Excellent Food, First Class Service and is truely a Great Price when compared to other (so called) higher class hotels in the area. Check it out!
