We lived in a central Pattaya and therefore used central beach, which is divided among different owners (sun chair and umbrellas are extra: 30, 40 and even 50 Baht). The water is dirty, full of litter and rubbish. Water sports activities are just here as well, lots of boats and you may smell gasoline. Beach road is one way and closer to a Walking Street there are reconstruction works (which cause constant traffic jams, dust, noise and strangely higher prices to rent sun bed or drink cocoa).
As we have time difference with Thailand, we could visit the beach only after 11-11:30 a.m. Sun sets were admirable!
Along the beach many bars and restaurants, excursion points, ATMs, Currency exchanges, and girls, girls, girls (place of sin).
Minuses also: no toilets or at those "sin" places for 10 Baht, no changing cabins for wet swimming suits.
Tip: many sellers will provide different stuff (food, beverages, souvenirs) - prices are obviously 3-4 times higher, bargain.
Bangkok was cleaner.
