over all a very relaxing enjoyable resort a world apart from all the hussle and bustle peacefull and serene.......the hotel staff were plentiful and very helpfull too all our needs and always had a smile on there faces very nice people ,,,,ten mins walking distance too a very nice peacfull beach with lovely restaurant and only a short baht bus journey into town which costs no more than 150 baht we stayed on a room only basis as we wer'nt sure about the food but lots of very good restaurants in 10 min walking distance so overall a very enjoyable holiday and a lovely place to stay we would stay here again ....... ignore all previos comments about tatty rooms ours was fantastic for what we payed a lot of eastern block ppl here but not to many irritations as we would have irritated them i think the staff enjoyed us being here as we gave the place a bit of life

Room Tip: when booking state that you would like a superior room as i believe the standard rooms aint much goo...

This hotel is tired. Could do with a complete renovation. The pool area is nice although can be shaded a lot. The food is very basic. The rooms are a nice size with good air con but could do with updating. The location was great and the overall stay was good.

First the good – Lovely central gardens and pool creating an oasis in a crazy town.

The not so good – The rooms need refurbishing (and don’t believe what the manager says here – we saw absolutely no signs of any renovation taking place). The rooms are painted a dark mustard yellow with those on the ground floor being especially gloomy. Also the rooms have no net curtains, so if you don’t want people at the pool looking in you have to draw the blackout curtain and turn on the lights. Get a first floor room if you can, these are much nicer. Access to the rooms is around the back of the blocks which are dark and grubby.

The resort is understaffed so service is poor and the overworked staff are not the usual smiling faces you expect to see in Thailand. The bad impression started on check-in when we had to wait 45 minutes for our room to be ready (at 3.30 pm). On our first full day we returned to the room at 2.30 pm to find it had not been made up yet.

The buffet breakfast is poor and the coffee undrinkable. The wifi ($5 a day extra) is also poor.

Only stay there if you get a very good deal or if you are Russian since they comprised the vast majority of guests during our stay and are clearly the resort’s target market.

Room Tip: Upstairs in the rear block

Great place to stay, short walk to beach and bars. Easy to get to walking street and the Central Festival Mall using the cheap ring my bell get on-off Taxis. The hotel as nice clean pool with pool bar and on site massage and restaurant. Rooms cleaned daily, have good air conn. and coffee/tea making facilities and fridge (dont like powder milk so ideal for milk from shops). 2 free bottles of water supplied each day.A lot of rooms have balconies and some dont. 2 storey buildings no lifts so ask for ground floor if walking a problem, there are ramps in the grounds so easy to get around. Staff very friendly and hepfull bit of language problem but you get there eventualy be patient. Did not eat there but many people did so can't be bad. Pool towels supplied and changed by room cleaning staff not at pool as stated in room info. book. Enjoyed the stay and would go back there. Thanks to all the staff for a great stay.. Bit more info. Gullivers sports bar restaurant great for food and watching all sports on the many t.vs. World Of Sport bar restaurant great also and McGintys Irish bar.

Room Tip: Ask for room with balcony if you want one

loma is a good resort situated in the city area. One can actully find better ones around on cheaper costs. only rooms are going to impress you not the service and they charge for guests where as many donot charge for same.

Room Tip: try the ones facing pool or near reception. donot take ones on the right corner as there is kitchen...
