We stayed at the Woodlands in November this year and had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is really lovely and there was plenty of room around the pool although you did get the guests who hogged certain sunbeds but the hotel did address this issue. We were among the tourists stranded in Thailand following the protest at the airport. I cannot praise the staff of the hotel enough for their dealing with this situation. They kept us informed as much as was possible, extended our room booking and even reduced the price of the rooms and after three days we were even moved to a larger room an offer we only took up because we had our 11 year grand daughter with us and the change of room took her mind of not being able to return home. The food was also excellent and very reasonabl given hotel charges are quite expensive for dining in. All of the staff were very kind but I €must praise the efforts of Stephan the manager, Shila and last but not least the lovely G. Well done to you all I would definately return to the Woodlands and would recommend it to anyone. Also just up the road is a little bar when you can get drinks at really reasonable prices. It is alongside the Jazz internet cafe and there is a lovely Thai Nana aged 92 who sits and watches the world go by.
