We stayed one night at the Hard Rock in Pattya, have stayed there on mulitple occasions over the last 4 years. But I would have to say that its over priced itself now. It has gone up by 1000bht since the last time we stayed (maybe 3 mths) Being it's low season in Thailand at the moment, and the Hotel was noticably quiet i thought 4600bht ++ was far to much. And would not negotiate.
Not good guys, i love your property but you are starting to get a little to greedy i think.

My husband was alaways a huge fan of all hard rock hotel he ever stayed (vegas, bali) and pattaya branch certainly add to his fave. The room is small yet cozy, with an exceptional view of the ocean. The breakfast is very delicious....each and every single item superb!Oh,and the bed...ehm...very comfy especially. Thank you hard rock for making our trip memorable.

“Hi to Woody at the pool”

Hard Rock Hotel

We stayed here in September this year and loved every minute of it. The rooms were very comfortable and certainly not small as we were led to believe on previous postings. We spent our waking hours either in the pool, at the pool bar,out shopping or sightseeing. The pool and cocktail waiters are fantastic- especially Woody - say Hi to him. He made our holiday. The food around the pool and in the restaurants was great and well priced. The fire twirling and juggling night was fun and all in all we felt very relaxed after a 5 day stopover on our way to London. Just a tip for people who want to save money on food. There is a great supermarket which you get to by walking out the back and down the street into the town. It sells things so cheaply including things like salads and sushi. You have to pay in Baht so take that currency with you. Have fun - don't forget to go elephant trekking!

“Very disappointed with Hard Rock”

I recently booked a 6 night stay in Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya. I ended up staying only for 3 nights due to some problems that I think you should be aware of. I had worked very hard during summer so I awarded myself with a nice 10 day holiday in Pattaya and Hong Kong. I chose Hard Rock Hotel over others because it had a large swimming pool and the reviews I read were rather positive. I booked one of their sea view deluxe rooms.

I was warmly welcomed at the hotel after a long flight from Europe. Check-in took a little while and they sent me my bag some 10 minutes after I arrived in my room.

The room was rather small but OK. Modern furniture and comfortable. It did not smell very good though. As I was very tired, I had an "expensive" dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and slept right after. After a good night's sleep, I decided to hit the pool which I had been looking for. This is where it all began.

More than half the pool was in shade at only 11 a.m as it is located badly. On top of it, the beds were very simple and not very comfortable and there were some competitions going on in and around the pool. They were having fun but very loud. At one corner of the pool, there is the children's pool. There were many mahy of them. I thought the clientele would be young adults and couples but it was mostly families with small children. It was extremely loud around the pool. They also start playing live music, at the pool, at 3 p.m. !!!

I was there to relax and not to have headache. I thought it would get better but next day was also the same. I wanted to go the beach but it is dirty and it is not advised to swim in it... Pattaya also turned out to be a very "interesting" destination too. So I left the hotel and Pattaya after 3 days.

If you have children and you are looking for fun and you have too much cash, this is the place. Otherwise there are many 4 star hotels around that are much more cheaper than Hard Rock. I am not intending to visit Pattaya or stay in Hard Rock Hotels anymore.

This hotel is well kept, the staff very friendly especially in the restaurants and reception.
I found the staff around the pool a bit full on but I suppose it is just in line with the theme of the place.
The pool is excellent and the beach area is great especially for kids who love playing around and sitting on the big boulders.
I was dissapointed to discover the bottom of the pool to be quite dirty with lots of green stuff growing between the tiles on the bottom of the pool especially around the tiled Hard Rock Sign.
I also found it dissapointing that with the water being non-palatable that they charge guests for any ice ordered from room service.Interestingly enough it is not mentioned anywhere on the room service menu that there will be a 59 baht charge for ice.
I also found it interesting that for a four star hotel called the Hard Rock Hotel that there was not one potato dish on the breakfast buffet for the whole time we stayed there. There were three different rice dishes , congee(two types),chicken or pork rice and japanese rice. Sausages were also scarse only appearing once during our stay.
I joked with my partner that prehaps they should change the name from Hard Rock Hotel to Hard Wok Hotel as they were definately not catering to all guests.
The rooms were on the small side as was the bathroom. We were orginally in a delux king room which had a northerly aspect but changed to a delux twin with a southerly view (more interesting) and actually felt that the twin room was larger as it had a large bench under the bathroom window(which opens into the main room) which the king room didn't have. the rooms were very clean and well kept.
On the friday before we left they were setting up for a function around the pool at about 3pm. This involved removing at least 60% of the sun lounges which were stacked on top of each other out of the way. The pool was open until 10pm for hotel guests and when I came down at 3:30pm there were no sun lounges available as most of them were stacked away and the rest occupied. The cabanas were empty but you had to pay 400baht to use one,so several of us had no other option but to lay our towel out on the sand area around the artificial beach area which reminded of my childhood visits to the beach.
