“Epitome of Thai Hospitality!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2014 via mobile

Newly renovated 5* hotel. Though the facade looks simple the rooms inside are fresh off the oven. Has a nice pool and a poolside bar! The restaurants are nice and its bang in the middle of the city. Theres a mall right next to it having the 'Ripleys believe it or not' museum and Hot Air Baloon rides. The HOHO bus also starts from there and its 5-10 mins from the Walking Street. Though its not on the beach road, the rooms on the 9th floor and above have a sea view. And the staff is very helpful. Even though there may be language issues they earnestly try to to help you. From the bell boy to the receptionist and the waitresses in the restaurant, they go out of their way and always with a big smile! Just how you imagined Thai people would be.
The only issue was that for the valentines weekend it jacked up its prices to double while we had booked 2 weeks early($265). Then 3 days before the weekend it offered last minute discounts of 35%($170) which were not offered to us. Thats bad policy.

About Pattaya:The sleaze in the town gets a bit too much but if you see without the harsh glasses you realise its more of a retired europeans getaway for companionship.

Dear ManuKaushik,

Thank you for sharing your review of your recent stay with us.

We are proud to read that you have found our team to epitomize 'Thai' hospitality throughout your stay and that our location enabled you to explore Pattaya within steps of the resort.

Your feedback regarding our rates is appreciated and I will personally investigate why there may have been a rate difference between your Travel Agent and our own website as this should not be the case.

I do hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future and again thank you for your review.

Warm regards

Very nice staff, however hotel need major renovation, rooms and public area are run down. . Also bed was very hard, as if you are sleeping on the floor, asked concierge to move us to another room however he told us same mattresses in other rooms. They have put extra bedding to make mattress softer but didn't really help. Breakfast excellent very good variety of Asian , Indian, American cuisines.

We stayed at the Marriott hotel, Pattaya for four nights in November,2013. The hotel has the best location in Pattaya with openings on either side, beach road as well as the front side with all the shops lining the area.

The hotel is next to the biggest mall in Pattaya with an inside entrance opening right into the mall. We had a great time visiting all the attractions in the mall and shopping every evening.

The staff is extremely courteous and I was upgraded to a sea facing room on arrival. The view from the room was amazing. The pool was clean and my kids had loads of fun playing around the pool area.

The rooms are clean but need some up-gradation. The breakfast is excellent with a good spread and some amazing juices for a fresh morning start. All in all a great place to chill and and extremely courteous staff, will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: Sea facing room on higher floor

The staff here are great and always helpful. I think that is what makes this place stand out the most.

The property is beauiful and there is no need to leave. When you are inside the resort it is quite and tranquil. However, as soon as you step food outside you are in the heart of Pattaya, so you get the best of both worlds.

I prefer the pool, but the beach is directly out the back. The pool has a bar, massage and great food.

If you need to get out, you don't have to go far. The mall is connected to the hotel, so there is plenty of shopping and dining options.

The view from the hotel room is ok. You look out on to the pool area. When selecting your room either go for something more spacious or include their great breakfast. No point in selecting the room based on the view.

I get the room at the end that has the spacious balacony for sun bathing.

Room Tip: Choose your room based on size or amenities, not for view. If you can, request the corner room for a...

Centrally located, close to all action, and in the heart of Pattaya. Hotel is in dire need of a renovation, although the rooms are clean and extremely well maintained. From the front desktop to the Club Lounge, the staff are supreme. So helpful, service all requests, makes the stay truly enjoyable. Food and drink benefits are really nice. For the price a good value.

I stayed at the Pattaya Marriot for 5 days... The hotel is kind of old but well maintained.
The rooms are in a very good condition, and the services are just great. The breakfast buffet has a good number of variety and sitting outside is just fantastic. The open area and the lobby of the hotel is so beautiful and relaxing, you can just spend hours sitting and enjoying the view. Facilities are also very good tried the gym and it is reasonably equipped.
Adjacent to the hotel there is a fancy shopping mall, which frankly speaking defeats the purpose mostly in Thailand it's buy the stuff sold on the side of the road and they are very cheap.. At the top of the mall there is ripley's believe it or not which I heard it is really good but never got the chance to visit it. The hotel is nicely locate by the beach from one end and is less than 5 minutes walk from the famous "Pattaya Walk Street" and front the front side is the main road where you can find a 7 eleven less than 1 minute walking.....
Important note while booking is to select a room on the top floors I heard the view is great and you can see the beach ..... I was at the second floor has a good view of the pool but having the beach and the pool will definitely be a bonus.....
